Synopsis: 'On the Road', published in 1957, was a landmark of the Beat movement. The book is narrated by Kerouac's alter-ego, Sal Paradise, whose impulse was to hit the road and see America. In this journey, he takes a ride, climb on trains, meets other travelers struggle for food and explores themes of freedom and nostalgia.
