Over the last few days we’ve been inundated with questions about where and when Breaking Dawn will be filming, so we thought it would be a good time to start an Open Thread (like our Eclipse, Water For Elephants, and Abduction Open Threads) and this way fans can have one place to discuss all of the movie’s filming locations and news.
Here’s what we know for sure about the shoot right now. Filming begins on November 1st at Raleigh Studios at the Celtic Media Centre in Baton Rouge. The cast began arriving in Louisiana this weekend and the sets (including interiors of Edward’s house) have nearly been completed.
We’re also hearing that most of the Louisiana filming will take place inside, at the studio. In January, the shoot moves to Vancouver, where, presumably, most of the exterior scenes will be filmed.
