Patrick Brennan Talks About Rob and Kristen

When you found out you were going to work on this movie, who were you most excited to work with?

You know I have a scene with all the guys- Robert Pattinson – the 3 of those guys- and Kristen- I found them to be so… I was looking forward to meeting those three – I found them to be so welcoming and down to earth and normal. I don’t know what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting that. I found them all to be really really great people. And funny and weird and cool. And when I did my scene with Jacob I was stumbling over lines and thought “wow—it’s too odd. I’m sitting across from these Twilight stars.” It took me awhile to get in my body & get in the scenes. I was nervous.

What was it like coming into such an established franchise. Did you feel like the new kid? What were your feelings joining everyone?

Well i was nervous- extremely nervous. Like I said Bill Condon and all those people and the guys that have been there through the whole thing- Robert and all those guys- they did have a way of putting you at ease. And I found them to be so normal. Maybe I was expecting them to be movie stars who were stand-offish, but they weren’t like that. I knew it was a big deal, but once you go to the conventions and see how big it is, it is pretty awesome.

Matilda Sturridge Talks About Her Son's Godfather, Rob

Talking about her son, Rudy:
“He has what I had and more. We’ve done that kind of Italian thing, where he’s grown up with all our families. I can go to work and there’s no sense of abandonment,” she says. “He’s so easy, so calm, I’ve never seen anyone so happy. I don’t know how he’s so calm with me and Charlie as parents!” Not only that: he has R-Patz as a godfather, by the way. “Yeah, Rudy’s very lucky. He’s got some cool godparents!”

On the Road Movie Reedited for Toronto Screening

Based on Jack Kerouac’s ’50s novel, Walter Salles’ On the Road movie adaptation starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart (photo) will be screened at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. We all knew that. What we didn’t know is that TIFF 2012 will unveil a new cut of the film (via indieWIRE), which premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews.
The 2hr20m drama has been downsized to approximately 125 minutes. That’s an interesting development, as On the Road has already been screened in several countries, with varying degrees of box-office success: $2.7m in France, $1.47m in Brazil, $423k in Belgium, $248k in The Netherlands, $160k in Finland, and $51k in Sweden. [Check out the On the Road trailer.]

The new cut is clearly a move to make On the Road more "commercial" in the United States, where IFC Films / Sundance Selects will be opening the film for awards consideration on Dec. 21.

"The response at Cannes was that some people loved it and some people were respectful of it, like some people loved the book. And Walter took a lot of that to heart. … He’s added certain things that weren’t in the cut that was in Cannes. He has been in New York and Rio and L.A. working on it the past couple of months, and it’s going to be very wet when it gets to Toronto."

In addition to Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart, On the Road features Viggo Mortensen, Tom Sturridge, Danny Morgan, Amy Adams, Alice Braga, Elisabeth Moss, and Kirsten Dunst. The Motorcycle Diaries screenwriter José Rivera penned the adaptation, while Francis Ford Coppola, who bought the rights to the novel more than three decades ago, is listed as one of the film’s executive producers. Brokeback Mountain‘s Gustavo Santaolalla composed the score.

The Week in Breaking Dawn Part 2 News

Christina Perry to be involved with the soundtrack for Breaking Dawn Part 2?

From TwiExaminer | via
Looks like The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 soundtrack artist Christina Perri - whose "A Thousand Years" went gold - might be circling back for another Twilight Saga contribution on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2's album!
Perri's currently on tour with Jason Mraz, and in promoting her shows she spoke with 96.5 TIC FM about her involvement with the Saga and teased, “I might have seen the last film too, and it’s pretty amazing … I might be involved in that. I’m not really allowed to say though… just a hint.”

Confirmed for the soundtrack so far are Iko ("Heart of Stone") and Passion Pit ("I Think We'll Be Alright"), the latter of which appears when Bella (Kristen Stewart) wakes up from her transformation.

Angela Sarafyan Talks About Breaking Dawn: Part 2 and Mentions Rob and Kristen

Q: What was it like coming into such an established set? What was it like to feel like the new kid?

Angela: I think that I had that experience initially, but what’s interesting is that there was so many of us that we became the people that everyone else was gonna try to fit into. There were so many vampires and so many actors there. Initially it was… I am trying to think of the correct word because the very first scene that we shot was at the Casbah, and I remember just going on that set and seeing Elisabeth Reaser and their faces that I’d seen posters of and these faces that I’d seen in the films. I couldn’t digest it. I couldn’t look at it and go oh whatever, who cares, they are just actors, it was surreal. The whole thing was completely surreal. I remember I came on set the day before we were shooting, or two days before, and I saw Kristen sitting there, and I was like that’s the girl. There’s the face that I’ve been seeing and hearing everywhere. There’s that little head. It was interesting to finally see them in the flesh. It was not as intimidating as you think. Just a very crazy thing to see these things for real.

New Rob Interview - He Talks About Media Attention, His Fans, Cosmopolis and Edward

It looks like an interview sent to various media outlets since it was posted today in Diario de Mexico.

It has been a summer of discontent for Robert Pattinson. Since his longtime girlfriend and “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart was photographed in intimate poses with another man a few weeks ago, the heat on his life has been daunting.

How does he deal with it?”

“It drives you nuts,” he says of all the hoopla. “It’s just nuts.

“I don’t know how I cope with it. I really don’t know,” he says in a good-natured voice.

“At times, I find the whole thing pretty funny. It is pretty funny. My life is kind of ridiculous to me. It’s so absurd at time.”

Last week he fended off countless questions about the scandal while making the media rounds to promote “Cosmopolis,” his new film with director David Cronenberg (“A History of Violence,” “Eastern Promises”).

Through it all, he felt the love of his fans. The Twi-hards definitely have been Team Robert.

“I don’t credit that to myself,” Pattinson says. “It’s just that there is something elemental about the ‘Twilight’ books and the movies. The core story has connected to people.

“The fan love from that is kind of amazing. I guess it’s so much better than everyone hating you.”

Robsten Support Message of the Day~'Every Touch' from @im_nargiz

“Love is not an equation, it is not a contract, and it is not a happy ending. Love is the slate under the chalk, the ground that buildings rise, and the oxygen in the air. It is the place you come back to, no matter where your headed” ― Jodi Picoult

David Cronenberg and Paul Giamatti Talk About Rob

David Cronenberg

From Oregon Live: (click to read the full interview)
Given the heavy New York atmosphere of the film, it’s something of a surprise that Cronenberg should have chosen the British actor Robert Pattinson for the lead role. Pattison is best known, of course, for the relatively featherweight demands of the “Twilight” films, which reveal little of the heavy, internal and intellectual stuff that “Cosmopolis” demands. After declaring that “casting is a black art: there’s no rule book to guide you,” Cronenberg explains that he watched some of Pattinson’s non-“Twilight” work, especially “Little Ashes,” in which he played the young Salvador Dalí, and felt he’d found his man. Still, he admits, there is, in all such matters, a leap of faith.

“It’s just intuiting that he can do the role,” he says. “Because you’re asking him here to do things he hasn’t done before. But I was convinced by the time that I had done all my work that he was the right guy. I knew he was good, and he surprised me by how good he was.”
