'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Kimberley French/Summit Ent.Early estimates from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's Wednesday opening are in, and if they're accurate, Eclipse took in $65 million on opening day - beating the previous Wednesday opening numbers set by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ($62 million) to become the highest Wednesday opening in movie history.That still doesn't beat the opening day overall record set by The Twilight Saga: New Moon last November ($72.7 million), but New Moon did open on a weekend instead of in the middle of the week. (Note: these numbers must still "be refined.")
