Long Wait For 'Twilight' Fans

Brace yourself 'Twilight' fans - there will be a one-year gap between the two parts of 'Breaking Dawn'.
The final film in the hugely successful series is to be split into two instalments, with 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part One' being released on 18 November next year. Because of the huge anticipation for the final movie it was expected that the second instalment would have a lucrative summer release.
However, Summit Entertainment has revealed that Part Two won't be released until 16 November 2012.
While the news is sure to disappoint the Twi-Hards, director Bill Condon will use the break to work on the special effects needed for a certain character that appears in the latter half of the book (we won't spoil it for those who haven't read it yet).
The longer than expected gap between films could also mean that we see Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in 3D.
Summit is undecided as yet whether to use the technology, but admit that if it did go 3D, it would spend money and time on it to ensure a higher quality than recent critically panned 3D films like 'Clash of the Titans' and 'The Last Airbender'.
Distribution chief Richie Fay said, "That decision is yet to be made. It's still the source of a discussion.
"There's certainly a financial part of the discussion. And yes, there's a certain amount of technology that has to be considered and accounted for. But it really comes down to the creative folks. If it lends itself to being a better movie because of 3D, then that's the technology we'll use."
