In her Vogue cover story, Kristen Stewart shares her desire to do good with her newly earned wealth.
The "Twilight" star opens up in her interview, discussing everything from her love for cooking, a result of her fame-driven isolated living situation, to her passion to do something valuable with her money.
"It's funny when you are endowed not only with public recognition on a fucking seriously vast level, but also money," she says with endearing earnestness. "Like, funds." (She was reportedly paid $25 million for the two films of Breaking Dawn, plus a percentage of the gross.) "Anytime I hear that somebody's really rich, the first question is 'Do you do anything with it? Or do you, like, chill? You just sit on it?'"
Eve MacSweeney, Vogue reporter, speaks about her interview with Stewart:
"She has a very solid, close family and is really very down-to-earth, as well as being passionate about acting and intelligent about thinking up ways she can use her success to do good. Her plan is to find a way to help teenage runaways get back on their feet, a subject close to her heart after her role in 'Welcome to the Rileys'."
MacSweeney reports that Stewart was inspired by her research for her role in the movie to set up a network of halfway houses for runaways in the sex trade to recover and reenter society.
"That would be amazing," Kristen says. "Right now it's the thing I feel most connected to."
