TinyGreenBubble:- Is Kristen Stewart the Next Great Philanthropist?

After seemingly taking over the world of movies as a pale, teenager who falls in love with a pale teenager in the omnipresent Twilight films, Kristen Stewart is breaking out and talking about the important things. No, she's not confirming nor denying her real life romance with Robert Pattison (seriously...who cares?) -- she's talking about helping those in need.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Kristen tells about the great impact her role as a teenage prostitute in the film "Welcome to the Rileys" had on her, and how as a result of that experience, she is interested in setting up a charity to help people in real life situations of need.

This is great to hear from an actress so young (she's only 20), who has a long, highly public life ahead of her, and who has made some serious money. For the last two Twilight "Breaking Dawn" films, she has been reportedly paid $25 million, plus a percentage of the gross. And that's just the beginning, we're sure.

In the Vogue interview she says:

"Anytime I hear that somebody’s really rich, the first question is ‘Do you do anything with it? Or do you, like, chill? You just sit on it?’” She is thinking carefully, strategically, about how best to put her own contribution to use, and has a plan—inspired by her researches for the role of a runaway in the sex trade—to set up a network of halfway houses to help those who want to recover and get back on their feet. “That would be amazing,” she says. “Right now it’s the thing I feel most connected to.”

There is certainly a great need for such philanthropic efforts, and we surehope to see Kristen's work in the field. Who knows - maybe K-Stew & R-Patz (we had to google what the "kids" are calling the Twilight couple) will be the next generation's Bradgelina, helping to save the world
