If you swap vampires with zombies, Summit’s hugely anticipated romance film Warm Bodies could be mistaken for a storyline similar to the studio’s franchise hit Twilight.

The star of the film, Teresa Palmer, is well aware of the comparison, as she told Celebuzz in an exclusive video interview.

“It’s almost like star-crossed lovers and that’s the same thing as Twilight, but it (Warm Bodies) is its own movie,” Australian-born Palmer, 24, said at Bing’s Summer of Doing event at Lafayette Park Recreation Center in Los Angeles.

“It’s dark and quirky and there’s a lot of humor in there too.”

But as for those comparisons of herself and Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan in the Twilight saga, self-proclaimed “huge fan” Palmer added:

“She’s wonderful. Of our generation, I think she’s one of the most talented actresses out there.”

Her praise for Stewart, 22, didn’t stop there:

“She’s edgy, she’s different and I’m looking forward to On the Road,” said Palmer, pointing to director Walter Salles‘ soon-to-be released film costarring Garret Hedlund.

“I can’t wait for that movie.”
