We all know how MTV has snubbed Rob, Kristen and Breaking Dawn: Part 2 in the nominations and we have been very upset over that fact. Twilight Poison have organized a boycott of the MMAs and instead we are going to watch BD2. We will start the movie at 9 PM ET and we will be using #BreakingDawnPart2Night for Twitter. So join us and show MTV that we are not pleased with their decision! Also we are going to be giving away a BD2 DVD. Just leave you name and email/twitter name in the comments and we will pick a winner. It is a worldwide give away :)

"Twilight" fans are speaking up and tuning out.

The popular teen series has historically been a MTV Movie Awards mainstay, racking up several nominations and winning Best Picture each of the four times it was nominated. But this year its final installment, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2," only received one nomination, and was completely left in the cold in the Best Picture category.

#BreakingDawnPart2Night is the hash tag of solidarity among fans who have vowed to boycott Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards. Tweets with the hash tag can be seen in several languages — all containing similar messages that droves of Twi-hards will be viewing "Breaking Dawn – Part 2" instead of watching the MTV awards show broadcast on Sunday. A plan that has the potential of sinking ratings. The film, after all, was the sixth highest-grossing of all of 2012.

Upsetting many tweeters, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper won Best Kiss honors for “Silver Linings Playbook” at the MTV Movie Awards show Sunday, beating out another popular lip lock, Emma Watson and Logan Lerman for “Perks of Being a Wallflower.”

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson weren’t even nominated for Best Kiss this year, but that didn’t stop Twihards from taking out their frustration on Twitter.

“Robsten is the best kiss” began trending worldwide after it was announced JLaw and Cooper had won the award. Although the 2013 Oscar winner wasn’t there to receive the gold popcorn trophy with her co-star, he accepted it on her behalf. JLaw was a no-show because she has reportedly been busy shooting scenes for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

Fans vent anger over lack of Robsten in Best Kiss category

Twilight has in past years dominated the MTV Movie Awards, with the Best Kiss Award effectively becoming the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Award, but this year Twi-hards boycotted the ceremony in their droves due the pair not even receiving a nomination.

Yet the move enraged Twilight fans, despite Taylor Lautner winning Best Shirtless Performance. Never ones to take things less seriously than strictly necessary, Twi-hards then boycotted the awards by watching Breaking Dawn - Part 2 and tweeting #BreakingDawnPart2Night.

At one stage during the ceremony the hashtag was even trending above #mtvmovieawards and host Rebel Wilson. Also trending was "Robsten is the best kiss", showing that annoying Twi-hards may well be the 21st Century social media equivalent of provoking a Mongol horde.

Incidentally the winners of the award were Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper for Silver Linings Playbook, but the fact that Jen won an Oscar for her performance as Tiffany in the movie, and that they spent an hour and half building up to the smooch doesn't seem to have swayed those upset that for the first time in five years Pattinson and Stewart were overlooked.

Apart from Aubrey Plaza stealing the spotlight from Will Ferrell, the most interesting thing about the MTV Movie Awards 2013 were Twilight fans stealing the spotlight from the MTV Movie Awards themselves. Twifans were mad as hell because this year MTV didn’t give them a chance to vote for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart — especially in the Best Kiss category. Throughout the ceremony, the hashtag #BreakingDawnPart2Night was a Twitter trending topic, oftentimes above #mtvmovieawards. And when Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were announced as the Best Kiss winners, #RobstenIsTheBestKiss became a top trending topic as well.
