Rob and Kristen Featured in 'Harper Bazaar' Tribute to Alexander McQueen

Photobucket
Harpersbazaar: The May issue of Harper’s Bazaar is paying tribute to the late, great Alexander McQueen, one year after his tragic passing. Being such big McQueen fans we thought the magazine featuring Rob&Kristen’s top selling cover in their tribute to the designer is such a compliment. The dress is by far one of the most amazing gowns Kristen has ever worn in a shoot. If you are in the New York area from May 4th-July 31st stop by The Met and check out their exhibit ‘Alexander McQueen:Savage Beauty’ to see some of his most amazing creations.

Harper's Bazaar editor wants to do a solo cover w/Kristen next year

In a recent article at stylebistro.com Harper's Bazaar editor and full time judge on Bravo's "The Fashion Show", Laura Brown, was asked if there is a cover girl she's dying to get? (And why?) Here's what she had to say:
We are lucky that we've had all the big girls on our covers at some time or another. I'd love to do a solo cover with Kristen Stewart sometime next year, though (we did her with Rob Pattinson last year). I think she's such a cool girl, and she's really growing into herself.

Kristen in Harperz Bazzar The Best Reds

"Red hair can be brighter than natural, but it must always have copper undertones," explains Louis Licari. "Avoid shades with too much violet or purple," says Van Gogh, which "may make your hair look fake." John suggests "sparkling ginger auburns, rich coppers, and, for drama, deep reds."

Hearst magazine's president (publisher of Harper's Bazaar) not surprised by 'Twilight' cover win

ASME Cover of the Year.<br /> (<a href="http://www.harpersbazaar.com/bazaar-blog/asme-amazon-cover-voting-0910">Harper's Bazaar</a>)

Yesterday at the American Magazine Conference at the Fairmont hotel in Chicago, David Carey accepted a Cover of the Year award from the American Society of Magazine Editors.
Mr. Carey, president of Hearst's magazine division, said that he wasn't that surprised by the win. “I knew it had a good chance of winning because, for the last year or so, it’s been on the bulletin board of my 17-year-old daughter, who is a huge fan of Robert Pattinson,” he told the crowd.
The cover, which was shot by Mark Seliger, appeared on the December 2009 issue of Harper's Bazaar. Amazon customers cast votes to decide the winner

Hmmmm  i am not surprised either ^_^

Robert and Kristen's Harper's Bazaar is Cover of the Year!

The cover of the December 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, featuring the lead actors of the hit movie franchise Twilight, was chosen by Amazon.com customers as “Cover of the Year.” This is the second year that Amazon.com has hosted the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) Best Cover Contest, and the fifth year that ASME has presented the awards. The announcement was made today by Larry Hackett, ASME president and managing editor, People, at the American Magazine Conference currently underway in Chicago, Ill.
Twelve category winners, chosen by Amazon.com customers during the first round of public voting, competed for the “Cover of the Year” honor. The Harper’s Bazaar cover, which won the “Best Vampire” category before it was chosen “Cover of the Year,” depicts Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in a rare shot together. While the epic image played on the idea of courtship, it was given extra heat due to their real-life romance.

11 Things You Didn't Know about Robsten!!

Photobucket

Rob: On Driving
"My dad's a car dealer, but I grew up in London, so I always say I don't drive…I get driven. I got a driving lesson in Oregon, and then I bought a car in L.A. and I basically learned how to drive by people honking at me. I'm terrible at driving."

Kristen: On Cats vs. Dogs
If she could be an animal, she'd be a cat. "With cats, you’re like, 'Come here!' And they're standing there being like, 'Fuck you!'"

Rob: On Laundry
"In London, doing the washing was a biannual thing, a giant mission. Me and my flatmate had BMX [bikes] and we'd have two of them and this massive laundry sack, a convoy."

Kristen: On Menswear
"I think it's sexy when chicks wear black slouchy trousers — fitted, but slouchy. I look at designer clothes on Rob and I'm like, 'I want those pants, man.'"

Rob: On Anonymity
"I kind of wish people didn't know who I am, that I could just lie, say I'm a speechwriter for Obama. This is what I said before Twilight. And then Obama came along and picked up all these young writers. I found out this guy, Jon Favreau — who's not the actor Jon Favreau — is writing for him. And I was like, Wow, I wonder if the people who thought I was bullshitting at the time are like, 'Oh my god. That guy! That kid who was drunk in some bar actually wrote the health care bill!'"

Kristen: On Stature
"I’m 5'6". I feel like I should be taller. I feel like I'm smaller than my mental stature. I should be 5'10". 5'10" would be very good."

Rob: On Money
"I don't spend any money. The only thing I've really bought is my car, which cost $1,500 and keeps exploding. It would be nice to buy a house for my parents, but at the same time my parents are so comfortable where they live; they would probably just feel like it was a burden. I wear the same clothes every day and the only thing I used to splurge on was DVDs."

Kristen: On Acting
"Anything that I do for work, I'm nervous about. If I'm not nervous about it, then I shouldn't be doing it."

Rob: On Modeling
"I peaked at 12. There are so many photos from that time where I look unbearably awkward. I'd just be looking in random directions and stuff."

Kristen: On Baking
"I make really good pie. Apple pie — it's the best."

Rob: On Dancing
He says dancing makes him nervous. "I used to be really good, but then something happened in my brain."

Why Was This Cover Nominated?
People of all ages sunk their teeth into the Twilight saga. At the forefront of the vampire phenomenon were Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who graced our December subscriber cover in a rare shot together. Harper's Bazaar was the only monthly magazine to feature the couple on a cover. While the epic image played on the idea of courtship, it was given extra heat due to their real-life romance.

The cover is now part of an overall contest on Amazon.com to choose the 'Best Magazine Cover of The Year'. The winning cover will be announced on October 4. Go and vote for Rob & Kristen's cover HERE!
