So, in case you've been living in a box or just don't celebrate Thanksgiving... Thanksgiving is a holiday most people (especially Americans) celebrate every year on the third Thursday in November. It's a holiday almost as big as Christmas and it's the day when we say our thanks for all we are thankful for. Usually, it centers around a big fat turkey and mashed potatoes and stuffing and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Black Friday...but that's all stupid. Thanksgiving is all about family and love and the joy of the season.
Not about turkeys.

Dude...I feel for you. |
|
Really, it's not. It's just the theme icon of the holiday. So, today is Thanksgiving! So, to all who celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving!!! Or, some like to say, Happy Turkey Day! Which is pretty funny.
Well, as of today...I've kind of personally re-named the term, "Happy Turkey Day" to...
Happy Feather Day!!!
In honor of this:
|
OMG. FEATHERS. |
|
YEP. IT'S REAL. You are looking at the VERY FIRST OFFICIAL teaser picture of Breaking Dawn!!! Thank you to the AWESOME Bill Condon! Yes, that is certainly Kristen's hand. It's been confirmed by numerous sources.
And that's totally Kristen's fingernail and freckle.. Okay, now I'm just sounding stalkerish.
ANYWAYS... now that we've covered Feather Day... let's move on.
Now, I would like to share with you what I am thankful for. There are so many things other than turkeys and feathers (although they are pretty awesome) to focus on when it comes to Thanksgiving. I could probably go on and on about how many things there are to be thankful for. And I'm going to be honest, so deal with it. Here are some:
I am REALLY REALLY REALLY thankful for this woman to start:
|
So pretty, Mrs. Meyer! |
|
The AMAZING Stephenie Meyer. The one who had that dream..that started this universal movement that is Twilight. She is the vessel..the QUEEN of Twilight. And you know, it kind of disappoints me that there are Twilight fans that disrespect her. I've seen all kinds of bullshit that really ticks me off. How could they be disrespectful to her? SHE IS THE TWILIGHT RULER. Maybe it's just the fact that she has morals and she honors values and SOME fans...just don't LIKE that.... Well, actually, that's pretty honorable. The fact that this woman still honors morals, values, and God's rules and incorporates them into a supernatural romances story...
That's something else. And it's a relief to see considering how absolutely corrupt this world is... So, Stephenie, I love you and I am so thankful for who you are and for starting the most incredible phenomenon of all time. Next, I would like to state how thankful I am for my friend shoving this book in my face two years ago. And I want to thank MYSELF for being open-minded and taking it and reading it. Because I have never been the same...
|
One book...just one book...is that powerful. |
|
This book changed my WHOLE life. It changed ME as a person, it changed my viewpoint, my actions, my thoughts, my heart, my iPod playlist (seriously), my emotions, my relationship with my mom, my maturity level...Really. Anything personal about a person, you name it. Twilight has affected every personal part of me. All in fantastic ways that I never want to change. I am thankful for this.
I'm also thankful for these two INCREDIBLE people.... Edward and Bella...
|
The lion and the lamb... |
|
Edward and Bella, you have brought a sense of serenity and beauty to my life. You have made room in my heart and taken over almost half of it. I've never read anything like your story. You two are absolutely beautiful and wonderful and not dark at all, even though people may say your romance is dark. It's really not. Edward, you overcome evil and fight it with love and love succeeds. That's beautiful. You love Bella like nothing else I have ever witnessed. You would sacrifice your life for her in a hearbeat and not think twice about it. THAT'S a man.
Bella, you're a sweetheart. I have no jealousy toward you whatsoever. I relate to a lot of different dynamics of your personality and I respect you because I've thought of myself in your shoes...and that's a hard position to be in. So, rather than being stupid and foolish and saying that I'm Team Anti-Bella...I'm respectful of you and I really have grown to love you. You're Edward's girl, you're Edward's life...and that's where you belong.
Right there with Edward.
These two aren't just CHARACTERS. They're part of our hearts. They are the lion and the lamb. I'm sure half of you guys don't even know what the term the lion and the lamb actually means, which is fine. It means peace. It's actually derived from the bible. The lion will lie down with the lamb is the original quote. It defines peace and beauty and righteousness. And that's what Edward and Bella are. I'm thankful for them tremendously.
Suck it up, haters. Suck it up.
And...of all things...ROBSTEN. Robsten...it's a whole subset of Twilight..and it has its own universe!
These two people may be the most amazing Edward and Bella and are completely perfect for the roles...but there's a whole other thing going on behind all of that! Everything that we've witnessed in the past two years says it all.
Shippers, all those giddy and wonderful feelings you get when you see them together, all that happiness, all the joy and the fun of it all...that's what I'm thankful for. Extremely so.
I'm thankful for everything above. I'm thankful for the fact that I'm a part of the blog and I have the opportunity to share all this wonderfulness that is Robsten. I'm thankful for all my team members and all of our followers! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am thankful I have a wonderful family and a wonderful life aside from Twilight and Robsten. I'm thankful for experiences and the people that have been in and out of my life because I have learned so much. It's amazing what God puts together. And most of all, I am thankful for God for creating me and my world. I'm only being honest. Anything else? Oh YES!!! Breaking Dawn, feathers, all the other awesome blogsites that support us, music, books, Mackenzie as Renesmee and definitely Christmas. Wow...writing all of that makes me REALLY happy. It feels great to say thank you.
What are you thankful for? Let us know below!
Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Feather Day, Happy Turkey Day, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza...etc.

Love, Rosalinda
