I'm sure we will see A LOT of these comparisons, even though it's pretty clear the two projects are VERY different....here is THR's take on the two Snow Whites
It's been a battle between Relativity's Snow White project, with Lily Collins in the title role, and Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart (left). THR takes a look at who -- at the moment -- comes out on top...
Universal: In January 2011, Oscar winner Charlize Theron is cast as the Evil Queen, signaling Huntsman as an A-list project.
Univeral: In February 2011, Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman lands Twilight's Kristen Stewart as Snow White. Tough to top that star power.
Relativity: Want a bigger star than Charlize? How about Julia Roberts, announced as the Queen in February 2011?
Universal: In May, having cast Thor's Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, Uni bumps its release to June 1, 2012, four weeks before Relativity's movie. (Jerk move!)
Relativity: On July 21, a photo of Collins as Snow White is leaked on the eve of the Huntsman Comic-Con panel. But even though its film is in production, Relativity passes on bringing footage.
Universal: On July 22, despite having no footage to show, director Sanders wows the crowd with a test reel and four cast shots. Producer Joe Roth calls the Relativity film "soft."
