Carolina Herrera talks about Bella's wedding dress & mentions kristen

Vogue UK: KRISTEN STEWART found trying on her Twilight wedding dress for the first time an emotional experience - so says the gown's designer Carolina Herrera.

"In the initial fitting when Kristen put the dress on and looked in the mirror, she was very moved," the designer told us. "In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film, she was a bride, and a happy one at that. It is always very important to make the bride happy, of course, and in this case I was delighted to do so. It was a very special moment for both Kristen and the character of Bella to share."

One of this year's most covetable wedding dress jobs (next to The Duchess of Cambridge and Kate Moss' gowns), Herrera was asked by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer to create the dress - worn by lead character Bella Swan wears when she marries her vampire boyfriend Edward Cullen.

Bella's Wedding Dress Replicas already on sale in selected stores

The white sheath wedding dress with a lace-embellished back was custom-made for actress Kristen Stewart by New York fashion designer Herrera, who said she was “flattered” when asked to create the gown and felt the pressured to deliver something that would please “Twilight” fans.

“I wanted to create a magical moment that they had at the wedding,” Herrera told Reuters at the movie’s red carpet premiere last week.

“She’s an innocent girl that is finding her first true love, so there is romance, there is magic, there is everything together,” Herrera said.

Carolina Herrera Talks To Pop Sugar and E Online About the Wedding Dress and Mentions Kristen

“I worked on that dress for like six months going back and forth,” Herrera said. “I still have all the sketches and everything because it was so special.”

But she is nervous.

“There’s so much expectations,” said Herrera, I hope [the fans] like it.”

Herrera didn’t have to research too much to come up with the right look. “It was a combination of things,” she explained. “I got inspiration from the book and descriptions from Stephenie Meyer. You had to really take in consideration the whole story—which was this innocent girl with the first true love of her life. It had to be magical.”

The fourth installment of the Twilight movie franchise hits close to the fashionista’s home. “I have four daughters and 12 grandchildren,” Herrera smiled. “They are all waiting for the movie.”

Carolina Herrera Talks about the Inspiration Behind Bella’s Wedding Gown

The New York Times spoke to Carolina Herrera and Stephenie Meyer about Bella’s gown.
The New York Times: You’d think [this] was another royal wedding.
…Even Mrs. Herrera, brought on by the “Twilight” author, Stephenie Meyer, hasn’t revealed so much as a silhouette or a neckline. Mrs. Meyer’s 2008 book, “Breaking Dawn (The Twilight Saga, Book 4),” offers only quick glimpses of the dress, like “a long line of pearl buttons” up the back.
“I wanted the dress to have a period feel without being actually vintage,” Mrs. Meyer, who collaborated with Ms. Herrera, said in an e-mail [to the NYT].
Mrs. Herrera, whose gowns typically begin at $4,000, was equally cryptic in an e-mail: “Of course, I was inspired by Stephenie’s description of the gown in the book,” she wrote. “I also took into consideration the personality and the style of the bride.”
After being sent repeated e-mails asking for an image of the dress, Eric Kops, Summit’s senior vice president for publicity, responded: “We are saving the reveal of the dress as a surprise for the fans when they see the film. Therefore, we aren’t planning to release any images showing the dress until after the film in theatres.”

Breaking Dawn Wedding Update Bella's Dress

Just wanted to emphasise on this post a bit!!! We don't know if the sources are correct in any way on this. Of course there are always people out there name dropping important scenes such as the wedding scene in Breaking Dawn.

I saw some comments concerning the wedding dress. Is it going to be pretty, ugly, what not.. Lets keep in mind what the wedding in the book was like... We know SM will do anything to keep that dress modest and most importanty Edwards Vision.

With that said lets just hope for the best? Hoping BC and SM wont disappoint.

"Feathery" is how I'd describe it - fans will understand once they see it. Not all will love it. #BreakingDawn

Don't know who designed it. So far the general consensus is that it's "ugly" lmao.

Kenneth Cole Are Going To Design A Dress For Kristen In 'Breaking Dawn'?

Kenneth Cole is taking on the huge task of designing a Bella Swan dress for Breaking Dawn. But his ideas for the gown may not be what the futureMrs. Cullen is looking for!

Famed fashion designer Kenneth Cole wants to see Kristen Stewart in a whole new look for Breaking Dawn. And if he has his way, Bella Swan may be vamped up to ward off bad vampires!

On Wednesday, November 10th, we talked to Kenneth at the grand opening of the Kenneth Cole Boutique at Santa Monica Place. “The dress would repel the less than desirable vampires,” the fashion icon tells Hollywoodlife.com. “It can pick and choose. It’s a smart dress. And with that kind of dress you can make it sexy and engaging or intimidating. So it depends on how you choose to wear that black leather dress.”

So, the dress would scare off bad vampires and attract the nice ones? Well, we all know the Cullens are the good guys in the Twilight saga, so Bella should be just fine! We’re looking forward to seeing a sexier Bella. Her hunky husband deserves it!

Zac Posen responds to Bella’s bridal gown rumors

Rumors were afloat last week that designer Zac Posen had been chosen to design Bella’s Breaking Dawnwedding gown. HollywoodLife asked him about it this last week and he played coy, but today he took to his twitter to dispel the rumor once and for all.

Heard the bella/twilight rumor and it’s just that. I design for real women…

This could be good OR bad news for fans. Bad news because it seems a little rude (especially since he DID design a dress for Bella for InStyle Magazine earlier this summer), and good news because the design for InStyle wasn’t very popular with fans.

Bella's Wedding Dress Update......

According to Jessica Vince of Grazia Daily, they may not be classified as Twihards (what are the credentials exactly?), we confess a small squeal of delight escaped our lips when we heard this delicious insider gossip. Bella Swan (she of the vampire-loving variety) is rumoured to be marrying Edward Cullen (he of the dazzling beauty) in a gown by Zac Posen! Dun dun DUN!
The fictional couple are set to tie the knot in 'Breaking Dawn', the fourth installment of The Twilight Saga (you might've heard of it?) and of course, there's been many a whispering about THE dress. Kristen Stewart, who will be reprising her role as Bella, has been involved in The Hunt, telling MTV, ‘It’s such a big decision. I have a little hand in having a decision — or having an opinion more — but I think it’s pretty much up to Stephenie [Meyer]’. Described in the book as an early 1900s design that's just 'stepped out of an Austen movie', we're picturing classic vintage elegance, making Mr Posen the perfect fit...
And here's the proof! The US designer most recently created Coco Rocha's fairytale gown for her nupitals (lest we forget that Disney Princess-esque mermaid number) as well as Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's gorgeous wedding ensembles. What's more, Posen's catwalk designs have long been hailed for their old-Hollywood glamour with a youthful edge, so we’re giddy with anticipation to see his work on the silver screen. But this leads us to our one teeny niggle - will Kristen do the design justice? And will Zac's gown satisfy the salivating fans when she walks down the aisle to RPattz? GULP.
Because here’s the deal. Kristen's become famous for her tomboy, verging on scruffy, style so Grazia Daily Claire Danes stylee. She's more a fierce, leg-flashing Emilio Pucci kinda gal. In fact, browsing through our style archives, this Monique Lhuiller is struggling to see the surly 20-year-old in a traditional wedding gown... Perhaps it's because KStew isn't one to sashay down the red carpet in a floating floor-lengthener, frock with draped trumpet skirt, which she wore for the Oscars, is the only gown of wedding proportions that we can find her in (please correct us if we're wrong, Stew fans).
I found this via Source
I think the author of this is really just saying that Kristen and Bella is very tom boyish and she is not the typical gal that goes and puts on a glamour gown at any given time. I understand where some of you might take this offensively but I believe that she is just pointing out the obvious.  Bella is a tomboy by nature as well. I believe that with any aha moment Bella (that is who Kristen is playing) will look dreamy, romantic and beautiful like the book describes.  We will not be disappointed.

Zac Posen to be Bella's wedding dress designer?

According to E Online

Zac Posen designed both Portia de Rossi's gown and her partner Ellen DeGeneres' suit for their wedding. The designer is also reported to be making the wedding gown for the character of Bella Swan in the 'Twilight' films.

Twilight’s Kristen Stewart reveals Bella’s wedding gown!

Kristen Stewart gives us a sneak peak into Bella’s big wedding day for the finale of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn!
With the Twi-stars taking to the set as they start the filming of Twilight Breaking Dawn, Kristen Stewart has us on the edge of our seats as she drops some exciting hints about Bella’s wedding gown!
‘I haven’t put the one on yet,’ Kristen revealed to MTV when asked if she’d seen Bella’s outfit during wardrobe fittings. ‘I’m not quite sure what it’s going to look like, but it will be beautiful I’m sure.’
Hardly one for feminine or frills, Kristen reveals that Bella’s not itching to walk down the aisle either!
‘She doesn't want to get married, but Edward has such different sensibilities and values, so she’s going give him everything [he wants].’ Kristen let on.
Although K-Stew’s revealed that Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is; ‘absolutely in charge’ of the designer details, the actress knows Bella better than anyone and lets us in that; ‘Bella would definitely want something classic and simple in white or cream.’
‘I think it’s going to be a beautiful and monumental wedding because Edward wants it so badly. Usually it’s the opposite; usually the girl wants it more. I think it’s cute!’ Kristen confessed.
Oh Edward, what a romantic!

Twilight Poll: What Style Wedding Dress Should Bella Wear?

All this wedding fever is getting to us; Katy Perry is still keeping us in suspense, and yesterday's Fall '11 Bridal collections set off a white dress fever. Now we're wondering what our Twilight bride Bella Swan would wear on her big day. Kristen's headed off to join the crew on the set of Breaking Dawn, Part I, and goshballs — what we would do to get a glimpse of that wedding scene! The book apparently describes THE dress as traditional with modern touches. Hmmm. The Swan/Cullen wedding has got to be the most anticipated on-screen nuptials in recent memory, with Kirsten telling MTV recently that she's yet to find "the one."

"It’s such a big decision. I have a little hand in having a decision — or having an opinion more — but I think it’s pretty much up to Stephenie... I'm not quite sure what it's going to look like, but it will be beautiful, I'm sure." We can't wait to see what they've picked; maybe something traditionally romantic? Or perhaps something more gothic and vampire-appropriate? Tell us what you'd love to see Kristen wear for Bella's big day.

People Mag! Expect a ‘Beautiful’ Wedding Dress for Bella in ‘Breaking Dawn’

There’s a lot of pressure to find the perfect dress for any bride — and when that bride is Twilight the one on yet,” Kristen Stewart told MTV News on Monday night. The Swan-Cullen nuptials will be one of the most anticipated scenes of Breaking Dawn, the next movie adaptation of the hugely popular series by Stephenie Meyer, which is set to hit theaters in November 2011. “To be honest, it’s such a big deal,” said Kristen. “It’s such a big decision. I have a little hand in having a decision–or having an opinion more–but I think it’s pretty much up to Stephenie.” So what would be appropriate for a vampire-themed wedding? According to the book, something traditional with modern touches. InStyle even gathered designers last year to venture what Bella’s dress would look like– but it seems right now, it’s anybody’s guess! “I’m not quite sure exactly what it’s going to look like,” Kristen admitted, “but it will be beautiful, I’m sure.” Tell us: What do you think Bella’s wedding
