Billy Burke Talks About Kristen in New Orleans Living Interview

Interviewer: So tell us something cool about Kristen Stewart that most people wouldn’t know about her.

BB: Um, I’m not sure that there are things that people know about her. There’s a lot of conjecture and things people would love to believe because that’s what people do. That’s the weird, strange thing about this business. People look at people on a movie screen or in an interview and they develop ideas and opinions that probably most of the time are not anywhere near true. So I guess the first thing that comes to mind is that she’s probably way more misunderstood then people would imagine. And she’s such a genuine human being, and seems to be very true to herself. I really admire that about her.

Billy Burk talks to @TwilightLexicon about meeting Kristen

Photobucket
Lexicon - Have you met with Kristen Stewart? How does that
father/daughter relationship on screen influence your relationship off
screen?

Billy - Well here’s a “funny” story. I met her for the first time on the plane up to
Portland. I tapped her on the shoulder and said “ Hi. I’m your dad”. She thought I
was a stalker. Despite that, since then I think we’ve gotten along pretty well. I
think she’s an extremely rare talent.

Thanks Twilight Lexicon~ YOu can read the entire interview here

Billy Burke talks about the "Breaking Dawn" Wedding Scene

In an exclusive interview with Twilightish, Billy Burke talks about filming the wedding scene and being Team Jacob or Edward:

Twilightish: Did you find it emotional to watch Bella get married?

Billy: You know what? It wasn't so much that it was emotional. Those days we were shooting the wedding, in all honesty, there was something about them that brought stuff up not only in me, but in other people on the set. Something that was visceral. We ended up saying "this is kinda weird isn't it?" I can't explain what it was, it wasn't like my daughter was getting married, but there was definitely something that was quite touching going on.
Twilightish: Were you ever Team Jacob? Or do you think Charlie would have chosen Edward between the two?

Billy: I have never played that game. I suppose had I ever read the books I may have had a stronger opinion, but I just don't care. Sorry!! It's not my thing. I think Taylor and Rob are great guys but I don't get into the fantasy world of picking a favorite boy character.

Billy Burke talks Breaking Dawn and mentions Kristen Stewart!

Any update you can give me on Breaking Dawn?
I’m here in Vancouver right now filming. The stache is here in all its glory. After this film, I’m not sure the stache in this form will ever return to my face. This has been a great gig for me. I don’t think that there’s any relief at all, if there were more books and more movies, I’d probably keep coming back. It’s a fun role to play and I love the peeps involved. As far as being sad, I don’t know if that’s going to happen. I’m certainly not going to be glad, though.

Fans are dying to know if the scene between Charlie and Bella after the wedding be kept in the movie?
I do have a scene with Kristen directly after the wedding, before they take off for the honeymoon.

Billy Burke talks more about his charachter Charlie Swan in Breaking Dawn and how he will cope with a New vampire family

Billy Burke knows he might be the most clueless father in history. As Bella’s pop in the “Twilight” saga, he never really has noticed that his daughter is, oh, dating a vampire.

Hello! The luminous skin? The piercing gaze? The jumping on treetops?

“I know, I know,” says actor Billy Burke. “He doesn’t know. My character Charlie does have to resign himself to being oblivious.”

Especially now. In the two upcoming “Breaking Dawn” movies, Bella and Edward will make it all public. The “Twilight’ers” now are filming the last installment of the hit franchise. “He finds out and his entire world gets cranked upside down,” says Burke.

As for a vampire son-in-law, he opines, “The way Charlie explains it away is that he understands his daughter is her own person. She will do what she wants to do. She will go after what she loves. He respects that.”

'Breaking Dawn' Star Talks Bella's Bridal Gown, Vampire Makeover

It's been awhile now since we've had any updates from the castmembers of the highly anticipated "Breaking Dawn" two-part finale. Thus far this year, there have been steamy bedroom photos, talk of Kristen Stewart's impressive transformation into a vampire and Peter Facinelli's thoughts on an epic vampire-on-vampire battle scene at the end of Part 2.

When MTV News caught up with "Breaking Dawn" supporting player Billy Burke recently, he reluctantly gave us the vaguest of answers when we asked about his favorite filming moment so far.

"We are having a lot of fun," Burke said while doing press for his upcoming violent thriller "Drive Angry." "We're in the midst of that now."

Burke, who plays the (mostly) blissfully ignorant father Charlie to Kristen Stewart's Bella, said his character is up to the same old tricks in the final two "Twilight" films.

"I go back in about a week to continue my job in that movie," he said. "Which is being oblivious to everything that's going on with vampires and werewolves."

Those familiar with the vampire films will agree that this is a fair and accurate assessment of his character's story line. Still, we assumed that surely Burke has been privy to a few fun details, so we asked whether his character, Charlie Swan, finds out that his daughter has become a vampire in "Breaking Dawn - Part 1."

"In the first part? No," Burke revealed. "That's no secret, [for] those who have read the books," he explained.

What about Bella's wedding dress? Has he seen that yet?

"No," Burke said with finality, declining to divulge any more "Dawn" details.

Billy Burke talks about Kristen again: "our relationship was what attracted me to do these movies"

Two years and three movies later, we’ve noticed that the father-daughter relationship between Billy Burke and Kristen Stewart is so good, it feels real. What’s the secret?

“That is a part of the movie magic,” Billy Burke, 43 told HollywoodLife.com exclusively about his relationship with the 20-year-old starlet. “I’m not going to say it is a secret but what I will say is, Kristen and I, first of all our relationship was what attracted me to do these movies in the first place. I felt that relationship was so rich and had so many places to go, so that was a big turn on for me. Kristen and I tend to work both in the same way, we never over prepare, I don’t think we are big research actors. We come to the set and let it happen organically, so far I have been pleased with the results.”
