Olivier Assayas talks about Kristen in Glamour France
By
Alma
"Big stars usually have little control over what happens to them. They're very manipulated by their entourage, which it is sometimes easier to let decide. Kristen, she, has always refused that. She wants to keep control.
When Charles mentioned her name for Sils Maria, I found the idea interesting but I didn't really believe in it. This kind of desire from stars of her caliber is often wavering, rarely exceeds the fantasy. However here, yes. And everything finally took place very easily.
It was picturesque, this bodyguard on the set, in the depths of Switzerland. But it's also this notoriety that gives her power in Hollywood.
She has that mixture of freedom, nonchalance, and diabolical precision. We feel like she does not work, that she laughs with her friends, but when the camera turns on, she is accurate to the millimeter."

Sils Maria Talks About Kristen

In "Sils Maria» Your assistant is played by Kristen Stewart, who is a huge star herself thanks to the "Twilight" movies.
Yes. And she works quite differently than I do. She can, for example, read her lines three times in the morning and then knows it perfectly in the afternoon. That is not how it work for me. I look at the texts well in advance and always come back to it. I this so that it doesn't just stick to the surface.
Does Kristen Stewart work superficially?
Not at all. Just different. She may be only 24, but already has a lot of experience. The biggest difference: she was constantly communicating online with her friends.
Also in the Engadin?
Yes, she is so crowded by the outside world that she must isolate herself and create her own intimacy. I understand that. But it's not for me. I'm not on Facebook, not on Twitter.

Google Hangout with Rob and Guy - August 6 at 2PM GMT
We're rather excited to announce that we'll be hosting a Google Hangout with the stars of sci-fi drama The Rover, Msrs Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce.
Directed by Animal Kingdom's David Michod, The Rover is a gripping tale of two men forced together to survive in a dystopian Australian outback. Tense, terse and sparse, it's a serious departure for Pattinson and acts as an acting tour de force for Pearce.
We're hosting a live Google Hangout with them both Wednesday 6 August at 2pm (9am ET) for a 20 minute chat. We want YOUR questions to ask the cast. To be in with a chance of chatting to them direct, we need you to:
