just got out of the tapingggg kristen was amazing as usual and jon was great with her!!!in terms of the interview it was waaay too short for my likingthey talked about the otr dance scene which is the clip he showed right before she came outthey also talked about how she grew up not having a normal educationshe wore a blazer. striped shirt and what i think was a skirtand she talked about how she was invited to ~prom~ and jon joked that it was in some guy's basementand guys you can hear me say "YEAHHHHH" so loud as soon as she sits down omfgalso talked about how otr was her first favorite book. nothing insanely new and excitingand she fucking looked at me cause my arms were raised up and i was screaming and clapping like a maniacalso during the break before she came out, i saw her walking backstage with hbgohhh when the dance clip was showing, jon was smiling and dancing in his seat :'''''Dat the start of the show, jon joked that his niece "kristen leibowitz" was his guest tonightnd i have to tell you pictures do not do any fucking justice. SHE IS AN ANGEL SENT FROM GOD IN PERSONi just love how sweet jon was to her.oh and i forgot a small detail. the first thing kristen did was compliment jon's table. lol idek

ReplyDeleteYou all really need to relax! Who cares if he JOKED to Rob "kick her to the curb". He was JOKING. It was the biggest story of the moment, of course Jon had to mention something about it on Robs first interview afterwards. He handled it well and made a very hard time for Rob a little easier. Get over it girls, obviously Kristen Rob and Jon have.
ReplyDeleteI agree. What Jon did is all for entertainment. Nothing personal. We cannot call everyone douche and a*hole every time nasty words are thrown upon them.
DeleteI'm still not brave enough to watch that interview, but my husband saw it. And keep in mind that my husband is not a fan but nor is he a hater, he is just indifferent. But he watched it and he told me that Jon wasn't rude, but what he did was break the ice for Robert in the way the interview was set up, with the ice-cream thing, and kick her to the curb comment, which he responded something like, "you're talking about yourself?" My husband also said that Robert never spoke one ill word of her. Yes, my husband agrees that he made a very hard time for Robert a little easier. Maybe someday I will be brave enough to watch that interview.

DeleteReally, the interview wasn't bad at all. Jon's comment was in a "funny" high pitched voice that made it obvious he was joking. Rob was clearly nervous and you could tell he wasn't his normal goofy fun loving self. His eyes were sad. But the worst thing Rob said about the situation was that he needed a publicist. He laughed at all of jon's jokes, but it was more in a polite -I'll laugh cuz you're making a joke not cuz it's funny- kind of way. I was glad to watch the interview at that time because it showed that despite his saddness, he was ok and going to get through everything.
@anon 8:25am, about needing a publicist thing, I think he was joking about needing a publicist because the media was having a field day with their daily incessant and colorful lies about him and not a dig at Kristen. But even if it was, you cannot blame him for it as he was going through a very hard time and probably was still angry at the time. Anway, I will talk no more about the past, better to look forward to good things to come for both of them.

Congratulations to Kristen that she went there and showed him that she doesn't care about his inappropriate jokes on which only he and the gloating haters laugh! I admire Kristen and I'm proud of her, she is strong and brave. I want my daughter to be like her

DeleteI agree with you. Kristen is brave. She's serious about her work, the movie,so she'd tried her best to promo it. But I'm disappointed no many TV show hosts show the mutual respect during the interview. They could ask her contribution/effort/thoughts... anything she put into this movie. Instead they focus on her personal life which she reluctant to share with public. The only one good TV interview I could think of is Tavis Smiley he asked question which is related to her works. That's so much fun to watch.

ReplyDeleteI thought Craig Ferguson was much classier. He apologized to his audience before she came out, then apologized to Kristen on air about being a "douche" about Twilight, then proceeded to an interesting and fun interview. I'm sure Jon Stewart is clever enough that he could have worked an apology into his interview if he was sorry for the distress he probably caused her. Kristen was certainly the bigger person in this case.

DeleteThis is called tall girls, I admire Each day more to this girl, and say that I have a daughter like her, is a true example of maturity and dignity to his 22 years. She is very cute and no wonder Rob loves her for it, but the best of that girl is inside and strength. She with all its ups and downs has taught the world that is much more than a dress on the catwalk, we are human, we make mistakes, we learn from them and we value what is really important, we must fight for what you want , and that money is definitely the most important.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing that bugs me is, when Rob was promoting a very important film in his career, Cosmopolis, his whole press turned into him dealing with her affair. He was innocent and yet took the brunt of the whole thing. His entire press tour turned into her "momentary whatever". She on the other hand, comes out to promote a film important to her and its all about her film and how great it is.
ReplyDeleteI am very sad that Rob got the shaft twice.
I don't believe he got shafted at all during that promotion. He was confident and handled all the scrutiny with grace and humor; and he was happy to do it too because he believed in the movie. And I think Cosmopolis got more publicity because of the whole sorry matter. If the movie was affected at all in any manner, it was that it made more people aware of it.

DeleteI agree with you so so much!!! Rob was so proud of doing 'Cosmopolis' and working with David Cronenberg, but because of Kristen, he hardly got to talk about it in interviews because they would always try and divert the interview to something more private. He had to deflect questions about his personal life and had to readdress the fact that he does interviews to promote movies and nothing else. And since he was the first one to come out of hiding per se, he got all those questions while now Kristen can promote her movie without having to dodge such questions. I personally think that's unfair to Rob especially when he had every right to be proud of his film - he was amazing in it!
DeleteI just noticed that Kristen was wearing this watch again. The same one she had worn at the Variety Studios event early this month.
ReplyDeleteI know some of you guys roll their eyes now but I honestly believe this is Rob's one. First the watch strap is too large for a woman's wrist and second it looks exactly like the one he kept from the Cosmopolis shoot.
I'll bet she's probably being paid some big bucks to wear much of what she is wearing right now. I love all of it. Especially those red boots to keep.
