When Marie Claire met with Twilight and Downton Abbey star, MyAnna Buring we had to ask what she found most attractive about the British star. MyAnna told us: ‘Robert Pattinson was born beautiful, he was just one of the lucky ones.’
Although she was quick to stress just how talented he was and that this can sometimes be overlooked.
‘Robert is a really great actor a lot of people forget that,’ MyAnna said. ‘To play dark and brooding and in lust and in love with someone is not that easy.’
And it’s something Robert Pattinson pulls off with aplomb when playing Edward Cullen – so much so we often got lost in his eye during the Twilight films.
After spending six months on location with Robert during the filming of Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2, MyAnna was in awe of the actor adding: ‘You get onto a set and realise how odd and awkward [playing someone in love] can be. But people like Rob make it very natural and easy. I think there’s something very attractive about that.’
There certainly is!
After playing such an iconic role, Kristen could well suffer the affects of being typecast but Myanna was keen to stress this wouldn’t be the case leaping to the star’s defence.
Myanna told us: ‘Kristen Stewart is a very versatile and very natural actress if she carries on working, which she will do, in the way that she has picking really eclectic roles I don’t think she’ll ever be typecast.’
And if that wasn’t enough of an argument the Swedish-born star continued to her praise Kristen adding: ‘Twilight will be an amazing backdrop for Kristen, she’s too good an actress to be under the thumb of Bella forever.’
While they may have had very few scenes together during the film franchise, Myanna and Kristen did spend six months on location and gained a strong insight into each other.
‘Kristen was lovely,’ Myanna said. ‘She is really down to earth and even looks amazing on crutches!’

Part of the reason that it was natural and easy for Rob to play a man in love is his true and deep feelings for Kristen in real life. Their chemistry is so strong it just shows all over the place. I have never ever seen anything like it and probably never will.

Yeah, he IS a great actor; nonetheless, in Twilight he wasn't faking in lust and in love! That's what made Twilight even more successful than one would have expected. We connected with his feelings!

ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet and also a different question, doesn't MyAnna look a LOT like Janet Leigh? From Psycho, in the 60s? And Scarlett Johanson played her in "Hitchcock" recently.
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to be blind to not see the love they have for each other. Open your eyes. BD2 love scene is pure Rob and Kristen. The way they look at one another is genuine. It's not acting. People should just accept that they are together and be happy for them. Not to many people have what they have. They're special. Why the hate? Are you that heartless you can't be happy for a couple that is? It's their lives. I'm glad that they want to keep their lives private. It seems to irk the shit out of some because they don't act the way they want them to. If you don't like them ok but stop with the hate. Rob and Kristen you are beautiful inside and out. Keep em guessing! Lol
ReplyDeleteI just love Rob. Nobody could have ever played this part except for him. You could tell from the beginning that he had feelings for Kristen and I believe she did to. Love this couple and I hope they live happily ever after.

ReplyDeleteHer comments were nice, but the underlying meaning is that he was not in love with Kristen he played his part as Edward in love with Bella. We always thought it was the love they shared off screen that made the on screen so believable. She is saying it was acting. Note she did say this about him and not about Kristen. So I am not so sure about her comments. That is my take on this. You know Angelina Jolie commented on this being a romance for the movie series, which we call PR.
