Where is Robert Pattinson's 'Bel Ami'
hollywoodnews.com: IMDB Pro lists its release date as August 25th. Yes, that’s August 25th of 2011 (just 39 days from today). But, if it’s set to open so soon, where are the promos? Where’s the press? Where’s the fanfare around “Bel Ami”?
We asked an identical question earlier this year, after some fishiness following the distribution company’s statement about the film’s release. Since our February article, there have been more new questions than answers. Per IMDB, the August 25th release date is attributed to Greece. Three September release dates are subsequently listed for Denmark, Norway, and France. Yet, the distribution company’s earlier announcement about an August 2011 U.K. release date is nowhere to be found, and it seems nobody knows when this film will release in the U.S.
It gets weirder: a June 8th “Breaking Dawn” featurette in The Hollywood Reporter peripherally mentioned an October 19th release date for “Bel Ami”. Yet, this is the only mention any reputable venue has made, and when a skeptical fan left a comment asking for additional confirmation, The Hollywood Reporter did not reply.

Robert Pattinson one of The Fab Life’s ’40 Up-And-Coming Brits We Have Our Eye On’
Ever since James Bond first crashed onto our shores in some tricked out experimental car/boat/plane hybrid thing, Hollywood has been nuts for hip young British thespians. They’re everywhere! They’re in our vampire movies (make some noise, Twi-Hards), our wizard movies (pour one out for Harry, Ron and Hermoine), our rom-coms (hats off to trailblazer Hugh Grant), and our TV shows about British monarchy (OK, that one makes sense). We simply can’t get enough. It’s been said before, but it’s like their hotness is magnified by that accent.
This Saturday the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is hosting a 42 Brits To Watch gala in Los Angeles. The BAFTA president is HRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (that’s Prince William and Kate Middleton to the rest of us), so these guys aren’t messing around. In honor of the big event, we’ve decided to compile our own list of 40 beautiful Brits that we’ve got our eye on; from upcoming Spider-Man Andrew Garfield, to action hunk Alex Pettyfer and dream queen Juno Temple. And of course we have our franchise favorites from the Twilight and Harry Potter sagas.

Glamour UK~ Rob on the 'Harry Potter Stars All Grown Up'
This photo almost killed our Robert Pattinson crushes dead. Almost, but not quite. In 2005, the actor, who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, thought it was a good idea to wear leather trousers, with a velvet jacket. Hmm – and we’re going to try and ignore those shoes. Not even you, Rob, can carry off this look.
Much better! In 2008 Robert swapped the leather and velvet for denim and general hotness. No wonder we were Robsessed as soon as we clapped eyes on him. Just a shame he forgot to tie his shoelaces.
Rob has developed his style credentials ever since and, this year, we named him 2011’s Best Dressed Man. Here, at the Water For Elephants German premiere, Rob wore a chocolate brown Gucci suit and showed he isn’t scared to experiment. As long as that experiment doesn’t involve those leather trouser, we’re happy with that, Rob.

Robert Pattinson’s top ten fears
As Robert Pattinson's career rises to new levels of stardom, the London born actor is constantly dong interviews to promote his news films. Here is a look at the top ten things that scare Pattinson according to him.
1. The Dark: When Rob was asked by Bravo magazine what scares him he replied: “Darkness! I can’t fall asleep without a light! …And I don’t like driving. Even in a taxi.”
2. Clowns: He explained: "The first time I went to the circus somebody died. One of the clowns died. His little car exploded. The joke car exploded on him. Seriously. Everybody ran out. It was terrifying."
3. Getting stabbed! : "My brain doesn't really accept fame, so it's fine. I can be put anywhere and it just goes completely over my head. I just don't want to get stabbed or something.
4. Fears over doing theatre: Talking to Elle magazine, he explained: 'I'd really, really love to do a play in London but I'd just be afraid it would turn into an N Sync concert. Or people would come along expecting it to be like Twilight.
5. Fame: "I haven't found one place in the world yet where I could disappear. Even the most remote places I can imagine, someone will ask me for a picture with them or an autograph. Honestly, I didn't think that I would be recognized so easily,"
6. Horses: “I had to get knocked down by a horse. That was terrifying,” the 24-year-old actor told USA Today. “It was just one split second but (it was) a fully grown stallion…I’m kind of relatively scared of horses as well. I’m just glad I didn’t have to ride any of them. I’m not particularly good at horse riding.”
7. HIV from all his bloodsucking: “People ask me to bite them and want to touch my hair. I just don’t want someone to have a needle and give me HIV and I don’t want to get shot or stabbed.”
8. Dating: “I can never live up to the image that the media has created; I am not that ‘hunk.’ Besides that there is always the fear that women only want to date me because I’m famous, and with a little bad luck they will go straight to the gossip press afterward.”
9. Deaththreats: “I go through [fan mail] myself. But I think I might get them censored, because I’m always expecting to get the one thing that says, ‘I know where you live and I’m going to kill you!’”
10. Buying a house: "I've been forced to stay in a hotel for the last three years, which is frustrating. I almost gave in and bought a house in Hollywood. But luckily I realised how insanely expensive that is and I don't even know if I'll still be working next year."

Is Rob Too Busy to go Grocery Shopping? Contact Music Article
Asked if he still does his own grocery shopping, he said: "I work seven days a week at the moment and so I kind of don't do it. I don't have time!"
The 'Twilight' actor's sparse spare time is so precious to him he even looks forward to getting on a plane to travel from one place to the next.
"I look forward to plane journeys. That's how pathetic it is!"
When he does get some time away from work commitments, Robert relaxes by playing music, and he is determined to practise his skills more often.
The screen heartthrob - who plays guitar and piano, and writes his own songs - said: "I still love playing music with people. I was in New Orleans the other day and I was playing with the band from New Orleans Salvation at the Preservation Hall.
"While I was playing piano, I thought, 'Jesus, why don't I do this anymore?' It was amazing."

Another interview with Rob to promote 'Water for Elephant'. I think we are going to start seeing A LOT of interviews. It seems Rob had to do a lot of press and I think its great.
I hope with all this press the movie does great!!
Translation: Remember things can get lost in translation so sometimes the Q&A's might sound a little weird.
Robert Pattinson : “I feel better working with animals than with people “.When you are a young actor, handsome and you are so famous thanks to Twilight, you might be trapped forever in this outbreaking role. But Robert’s talent is linked to his ability to keep on working on sets and playing characters completely different from Edward Cullen. After the drama Remember Me, it’s in another love story we can see him with Academy Awards winners Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds). For Dark Magazine , he talks about his unusual experience while playing Jacob , a young man who must drop his veterinary studies after a family tragedy, and he decides to change his way of life joining a circus . He will fall for a young woman , Marlena , and more surprisingly for an elephant : Rosie. This story is set in the 1930s in America.. In theaters on May 4th.
Hi Robert, can you talk about Jacob,. Who is he? How will he join a circus?
Jacob is a veterinary student in Cornell University he’s about to take his final exam when his parents die in a car accident. His whole world collapses in a few months. He jumps on board an old train to start from scratch and try to find a job somewhere, then he discovers it’s a circus train. He sees Marlena the very first day and these are the 2 main reasons he wants to stay and be part of this circus life. He gradually manages to accept his new life and falls for Marlena. And he also manages to blow everything out ! (laughs).
How would you describe him?
Jacob doesn’t know anything about the circus. At the beginning , he is self conscious, he knows how idealistic he is. But he soon realizes this universe , that he discovers in the middle of a huge economical crisis, seems to destroy the slighest spark of hope within himself. He also gets acquainted with August, a very violent man. Actually , Jacob goes through several trials of life, he faces a lot of difficulties throughout the story, and in the end, he realizes that he kept his idealistism , no matter what. I think this is what moves Marlena and encourages her to follow him . August is such a practical man . He thinks he must appear as a cold and harsh man to the others otherwise his world will collapse . But Jacob sees things quite differently. His way of life is so far from August’s .
Did you easily manage to connect to your character ?
Yes. Honestly , I feel better working with animals than with people. I found out that all the animals had a weakness. You just need some peppermint to be loved by elephants. I realized you can do whatever you want with giraffes whenever you have apple juice on your hands. Even the animal trainers were astonished . There was a 6 month-old girafe on set and they couldn’t make her do what they want . I came to see her covered with apple juice and she followed me anywhere. Everybody was like “How did you do it ? Why does she do as you say ?”.
Did you read Sara Gruen’s novel , “Water for elephants” ?
I haven’t read it before I got the role, but once I started , I couldn’t stop. I read it on the plane while I was going for some reshoots for Twilight and the man next to me that day was also reading it. On my flight back, my neighbour was also reading it! It was really weird. I know the book was a best seller in the USA but I think it’s also a successful book in foreign countries . I feel it’s like the Twilight books. When we started shooting the first film , more and more people discovered this book, sales started to boost and the novel immediately became popular . A few peole have heard of “Water for Elephants” before and suddenly , by word of mouth , everybody had read the book.
This part is so different from the one you have in Twilight. Was it an interesting and exciting experience?
It was awesome. It was great to work with such great actors. I didn’t really know what to expect when I signed for the film. Then , I met Tai the elephant and it was so incredible that I absolutely wanted to do it ! (laughs). From the very first day , it was an amazing experience. Everybody seemed to be deeply involved in that project , everybody on set was convinced that this film was gonna be extraordinary.
So how was it working with Tai, did you fall in love ?
Almost ! (laughs). I was so sad when I had to leave her at the end of the shooting. She had such an extraordinary charisma. It’s weird – It must be the same with any other elephants since they are so huge. You feel untroubled when you are next to them . I would easily sit all day long next to Tai . And it’s what I did the very first days . I always sat next to her and I stayed there all day long. There’s no way she tramples on you or hurts you because she always knows exactly where you are. Those animals have amazing personnalities – at least, she has. She’s lovely.
Set secrets
If the novel wasn’t well known in France, the Hollywood top actors of the new generation fought for Jacob’s part : Channing Tatum (GI Joe, Cher John), Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) and Andrew Garfield (The social network, Spiderman) auditioned but it was Robert Pattinson who was cast . Resse Witherspoon and Robert had already played together in Vanity Fair. In Water for Elephants they are secret lovers and in Vanity Far, Reese was Robert’s mother !

Rob's Fierce Intensity Boils Water According to The Improper
Improper Reports: Robert Pattinson’s upcoming 20th Century Fox film, “Water for Elephants” with Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz showcases his emotional intensity on screen unlike he was unable to do as Edward Cullen in “Twilight.”
His eyes alone convey a lot of emotion, but framed in his angular face, he exudes passion, pain and delight as his character learns of the death of his parents and moves through the movie.
There has been some talk that Water could land Rob his first Oscar nomination.

Robert Pattinson Didn't Own Workout Clothes Before Twilight??
This is so funny! Rob didn't own workout clothes?? I can totally picture him wearing plaid to his first session, hoboworkoutclothes. And you know he's gotta wear the beanie! So check out what details his trainer gave in an interview...
As the ever-protective Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson has to be ready to fight at a moment’s notice to protect Bella, Renesmee, and the rest of his family. The actor’s trainer, celebrity fitness expert Harley Pasternak, makes sure to keep him in shape for all of his movies. But Rob didn’t exactly arrive prepared for his first meeting with Harley!Harley and Rob started working together ahead of the first Twilight film. “He was an unknown at the time, there was some schlocky vampire movie the producers called us about training this kid for. He was very sweet and polite and very quiet and didn’t have work out gear, I remember, the first time he came. We got him shoes and outfitted him,” laughs Harley, who trains other celebrities like Megan Fox, Lady Gaga, Amanda Seyfried and Katy Perry.
So how was Rob in fitness training? “He did everything we said and followed the plan and was very polite. Then the movie came out and it became a sensation and I was like ‘Oh my gosh, that’s the same guy we were training!’”
Now Harley continues to work with Rob, training him for all the Twilight films and Water for Elephants using his famous 5-factor diet and fitness plan.
Harley adds that Rob “specifically looks at fitness as part of his job” but says “he’s an easy client to work with and when he commits and focuses he’s just… super committed.”
The trainer also answered questions you asked via comments and tweets:
On how often he exercises: “He’s on the 5-factor plan so five different phases of cardio: upper body, lower body, different abdominal muscles.” Harley’s plans has you work out a different part of your body each day for five days at a minimum of 25 minutes a day. It combines strength/core training with a 5-factor diet including five healthy meals a day
On his favorite workout: “Like most men, upper body is his preference. Working his arms like a dumbbell/handbell bicep curl, lying dumbbell tricep extension: those are two simple exercises he can do in his trailer or wherever to tone and tighten his arms.”
On his least favorite workout: “When it comes to working his legs, that’s generally something that creates the most muscle soreness the day after. So he gets pretty beaten up when we do lower body, from lunges to deadlifts. They aren’t really glory muscles for men and they are sore afterwards.
On whether he can eat oysters: “Sure, you’re allowed lean proteins, anything from the ocean or from the lake is good.”
On his personality: “He’s just a very sweet, unassuming guy who came to train with us, I’d never heard of him before…to see how big it became… it was the craziest thing. I went to meet with him in NYC and he had multiple security guards because there were people just swarming him. He’s someone that’s not built for this crazy celebrity status, he’s a very low-key guy who likes doing low-key things. He’s a very simple, low-key guy.”

Rob Will Be Filming 'Cosmopolis' This Summer in Toronto
Entertainment One confirmed the initial cast on Friday.
The script is based on the novella by Don DeLillo about a day in the life of a hedge-fund trader who loses his fortune as he makes his way across New York.
The film will be a Canada-France co-production and principal photography is set to begin in the summer in Toronto.

New Article: Cronenberg casts ‘Twilight’ hearthrob as Wall Street vampire
Landing a Cronenberg role is a savvy move for Pattinson, who needs to make the leap from the matinee idol ghetto of Twilight to more mature roles. His is not unlike the dilemma faced by an aging child star. In his previous non-vampire outing, the romance Remember Me, Pattinson showed the promise of a serious actor, but the film was a dud. Cronenberg is always a class act, and (despite his image as a horrormeister) he’s very much an actor’s director. Colin Farrell had originally been tapped for the Pattinson role, until he opted to star in a remake of Total Recall. And earlier candidates attached to the role of the female lead included Marion Cotillard and Keira Knightley, who stars in A Dangerous Method.
