GossipCop bashes the Newest of HL's crap: Robert Pattinson article is "diss"-grace

Robert Pattinson’s nice words about his new movie Water for Elephants have somehow been turned against him by – surprise! – HollywoodLife.

The experts in exaggeration twist what Pattinson recently told MTV about the experience of doing the highly anticipated book adaptation with Reese Witherspoon.

Water for Elephants “definitely felt like I was doing a big movie when I was doing it and it felt totally different from doing something within the Twilight world,” said Pattinson, explaining, “Because now it just seems so familiar, the Twilight stuff.”

“It’s just like going to a normal job,” observed Pattinson of the vampire series.
Sounds about right, yes?

The actor clearly means that wrapping up his time as Edward Cullen with Breaking Dawn feels “normal” in that he’s so familiar with the role and comfortable with the process.

After all, Pattinson’s rise to stardom parallels the Twilight series’ rapid pop cultural explosion.
Pattinson is not saying that Twilight is some kind of humdrum cubicle gig he can barely stand.
Instead of treating the star’s remarks in the spirit they were intended, however, HollywoodLife opts for controversy, wondering whether they constituted a “diss” of Kristen Stewart.

“These comments must hurt the actress,” declares HollywoodLife.

Why?

Why does every utterance of flattery need to be an insult at the same time? Why can’t Pattinson love the camaraderie and comfort of his signature Twilight “job,” and also love the new challenges of Water for Elephants? Why does it have to be either/or?

The answer is that HollywoodLife needs to create an angle, pitting Stewart against Witherspoon, movie against movie, and Pattinson against the Twilight franchise.

HollywoodLife just continues to “diss” its readers with insulting stories like this one.

Rob party-hops with a smile

I’ve always prided myself on my ability to stay calm and cool in the face of fame. If your job is interviewing celebrities, you can’t afford to get starstruck and risk coming off as unprofessional. But sometimes, when I’m just observing celebrities as a regular bystander, my inner teen comes out. And that’s exactly what happened when Robert Pattinson and his fiery red hair walked by me last night at the Golden Globes.

Here’s how it happened: I bumped into Christian Bale, whom I congratulated on his big win, and made my way over to the HBO party entrance. I look over and see Peter Facinelli stroll by with one hand in his pocket, and I instantly grabbed Russ Weakland to point him out. No sooner than I pointed at Peter did I notice a flash of red hair and …. R-Patz himself. “Ahhh!” I squealed, digging my nails into Russ’s arm. I stood paralyzed. Did I act completely unprofessional, run to the stairs, and pull out my camera? Or did I look around, pretending someone else had shrieked, and then casually watch Rob walk by like I see him all the time?

I think you can see from the photo above what I ended up choosing.

The boys ended up at the NBC Universal after party next, and I made eye contact with Peter as I scarfed down macaroni and cheese. He laughed at me — “That good huh?” — and then walked up to the bar to order drinks and text his wife.

Congrats Kristen Stewart! You Had The Most Memorable Mini In 2010

Kristen Stewart had quite the year! Not only did she soak up her growing fame while promoting both Eclipse and The Runaways, but she also showed off great looks on the red carpet — just like the one-shoulder lace Valentino get-up she rocked at the Welcome to the Rileys premiere!

Paired with pumps and red lips, K-Stew totally blew all the readers away. Personally, Blake’s blue Marchesa at the Met Ball and Miley in her mini were two of my fave leggy looks from last year, but K-Stew took away the title. To see who else was in the running, click here!

2010 In Review: 'The Twilight Saga' Continued Its Vampiric Reign

Last year we listed off the movies, TV shows and other pop-cult gems we were most excited for in 2010, and though the Wizarding World of Harry Potter got the top spot (come on, it's atheme park), "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" was the movie we were most looking forward to. It's been a big year for "The Twilight Saga," and "Eclipse" definitely did not disappoint. As another year of "Twilight"'s domination is about to begin, we figured now would be a good time to look back at the series' biggest moments in 2010.
"New Moon" had hit theaters only several months before, but "The Twilight Saga" started 2010 off with a bang when there was reportedly some drama between Stephenie Meyer and Summit Entertainment over "Breaking Dawn," though the "Twilight" author quickly dispelled that rumor. That was followed closely with producer Wyck Godfrey's announcement that "Breaking Dawn" was gearing up to film the coming fall. We were all holding on to every will-they-won't-they rumor (3D? CGI Renesmee? One or two films?), and it took the majority of the year for any of those questions to be answered.
While we waited for more "Breaking Dawn" news, Summit announced the "New Moon" release dateand two "Twilight" stars went from dating to engaged. In February we learned that we'd get a trailerfor "Eclipse" before RPattz's other film "Remember Me," and found out why Robert is bothered.
A month later we got a teaser for that trailer, and then had to wait six days until we got the full-length version. We were all pretty thrilled when we found out the trailer showed Bella's engagement ring, but that was nothing compared to the excitement we felt when Stephenie Meyer announcedshe was releasing a novella about Bree Tanner.
While all that was unfolding, there were still a lot of questions being asked about "Breaking Dawn." Three directors had been short-listed for the job, and the stars were pretty excited about them. On April 28 director Bill Condon was chosen for the honor. Bill convinced fans he was the man for the job by writing them a letter, and anofficial release date announcement came soon after. Hello, November 18, 2011!
But we weren't the only ones with "Twilight" fever; Oprah caught the bug too! First she premiered an epic new "Eclipse" trailer and then showed some lucky fans an early cut of "Eclipse". Audience members gave us the inside scoop on her special "Eclipse"-themed episode, too.
There was more "Breaking Dawn" drama when rumors hit the web that Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz might not be returning for the final "Twilight Saga" film, but those were quickly resolved. And, with a month left until "Eclipse" hit theaters, the soundtrack listing was finally revealed. As if we couldn't get any more excited for the film, it was announced that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were going to be presenting a new clip from the film at the MTV Movie Awards, and we totally loved it when they did. It helped that "New Moon" swept the awards show as well.
By the time June finally rolled around, we had two things to look forward to: "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner" and "Eclipse." We camped out all night for both, and both surpassed ourexpectations.
With "Eclipse" out, all the focus could now shift to the final film in the "Twilight" series. Or rather, two films. "Breaking Dawn" was announced as a two-parter and the second half would be releasedon November 16, 2012. Wyck Godfrey also leaked that Robsten are totally an item, and we found out "Twilight" could be the most successful film franchise ever, on top of the fact that vamps havemade $7 billion since 2008.
Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg hinted thatthere might not be a birthing scene, but she quickly retracted that statement and instead started talking about all of "Breaking Dawn"'s new vampires. There are a lot of them, and they're pretty much all cast by now. Unfortunately, James Franco wasn't one of them. But the most important casting announcement was that 9-year-old Mackenzie Foy would playBella and Edward's daughter, Renesmee.
"Breaking Dawn" filming is now underway, and we've seen awesome paparazzi pictures of Bella and Edward's honeymoon and the Volturi hanging out. Of course, we also found out why Bella is covered in feathers. The "Eclipse" DVD release got us looking forward to a whole new year of "Breaking Dawn" news as we count down the next 11 months until the first film hits theaters. After all, there's soundtracks to be announced, awards shows to sweep and relationships to cross our fingers for in the meantime, and probably lots of "Twilight"-related fodder we can't even begin to anticipate.

HollywoodLife: Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, & Nikki Reed Getting Closer Than Ever on 'Breaking Dawn!'

Kristen may have spent most of the first three ‘Twilight’ movies with real life beau Robert Pattinson, but in ‘Breaking Dawn’ she will be spending a lot of time with her female costars for once! 

Kristen Stewart has spent the first three Twilight films in a tempestuous love triangle, almost always alongside Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, but for the first installment of Breaking Dawn it will be female costars Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed she spends a good deal of time with! 

Once Bella is pregnant she relies on Rosalie to physically carry her around the house while Alice becomes her constant companion, spending most of her days by Bella’s side. For a girl who has had to spend almost all her time with the boys for three films it must be nice to get some girl time on the set! 

Of course, Edward and Jacob are also constantly around, but in the first installment it seems Bella spends just as much time with her new sister-in-laws. In all honesty, it’s a nice break after what seemed like an endless love triangle!

Hollywoodlife: Robsten Marathon ‘Breaking Dawn’ Sex Scenes!

Well, we know this is one long scene that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson didn’t mind shooting – it took them 12 hours to shoot their Breaking Dawn sex scene!

It’s no wonder that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson became a real life couple – it seems like the set of Twilight can get pretty hot and heavy! According to Life & Style, the duo recently shot a sex scene that took them 12 hours to complete, and we’re pretty sure that they enjoyed every minute of it!

It was the first of three racy sex scenes in Breaking Dawn between their Twilight characters Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. This first scandalous sex scene together includes the pillow-biting moment, when Edward bites into a pillow in order to control his urge to bite Bella. Sounds pretty steamy to us.

Still, it must have been a little awkward to act so intimately in front of an entire cast and crew. Fortunately for these two, they have two more sexy scenes on the way – plenty of time to practice!

Tom Felton blown away he beat Rob for MTV's 'Sexy' title

He told MTV News during the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" London press junket that he was "blown away" by being our No. 1 sexiest young "Potter" star. Little did we know, though, that he had another motivation for promoting the list. Hint: His name rhymes with Shmobert Shmatterson.

"You know why I retweeted it, because you know that's the only list you'll ever see where I'm ahead of Robert Pattinson for something to do with sexiness, which is completely untrue and unfathomable, but I will take it in great stead," Tom said with great candor.
That Tom Felton, what a modest man. I'm sure the hundreds of fans out there who sided with me naming Tom No. 1 over RPattz would agree that Tom is completely off his rocker when he thinks that the honor of being our top "Potter" hottie is "untrue and unfathomable." But does this mean that he and Rob are going to come to some sort of fisticuffs so Rob can claim the title? Or maybe just joke about how silly the whole thing is?
"I don’t think we really have that much to laugh at," Tom told us, "however I'm sure he'll let it slide this once."

Kristen Stewart Talks 'Stripper Day on 'Welcome to the Rileys' Set

Josh began the question: "So many young actresses have played..." "Strippers!" Kristen filled in. "I know!"

But while some girls might be nervous about baring so much skin onscreen, Kristen told us that for her, it felt totally natural to let it all hang out—even when she wasn't in character.
"I got rid of my nerves once I started," she explained. "I was walking down the street in, like, a robe and fishnets, but I wouldn't tie the robe up. I just did not care, I was so comfortable and just not afraid of anything."
And what do we call this magical moment in Kristen's career? She's on that, too: "That's Stripper Day!"
Meanwhile, Kristen was quick to point out that while you don't actually see her strip in the movie, she still took it upon herself to hone her pole-dancing skills—and she wants full credit for her hard work. "I learned how to do it, and there's one shot that people should know is definitely me. I twirl down this pole in the background and it's entirely in silhouette, like... you can't see anything." (Did you hear that, guys? Don't get your hopes up.)
But back to the question at hand: When it came time to film, was there even a moment of hesitation? Kristen says no way.
"Every normal question that you would be asking yourself—are you okay with looking like this in front of the world, are you feeding into cliches... For me, I'm not saying what the result is, but the experience was so naturally found. The story was so important to everybody, and I didn't think about that kind of stuff on set. If I had, I wouldn't have been able to go through with it."

It’s Official! R-Patz & K-Stew, You’re Th0e World’s Most Beautiful Couple!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart score well-deserved spots on People magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” list!

We knew Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were bloody gorgeous. Duh. But now People magazine is confirming what we’ve known all along — that R-Patz and his Twilight leading lady are THE hottest couple around: both made the magazine’s “World’s Most Beautiful” issue!

“I’m so sick of my own pallid, grey complexion” the 23-year-old British hunk says, but then adds that playing vampire Edward Cullen does have it perks. He says, “Having that makeup put on every single day, as soon as you get it taken off, it’s like, ‘Oh you do look normal. You look healthy now.’”

Kristen, 20, has a similarly self-deprecating way of looking at being called a beauty. “My fashion icon is John Belushi,” she says. “Seriously.”

What happened to Joan Jett, K-Stew? We thought SHE was your fashion icon!
