Pattinson will star in a series of ad campaigns for the French fashion house's line of men's fragrances.
"Rob likes the brand," reports a source, who estimates the deal at being worth close to $12 million for three years.
Other celebs who have endorsed Dior fragrances include Jude Law, Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman, who appeared in a controversial topless ad last year.
R.Pattz is no stranger to Dior. He's hit the red carpet in several different Dior Homme looks, including a tuxedo at this year's Cannes Film Festival and jeans at the Teen Choice Awards.

As a result of the massively successful Twilight Saga films, Robert Pattinson has transformed into a bigger star than he could ever have imagined.
And this week, it was widely reportedly by outlets including E!, The New York Daily News and USA Today that the young actor had landed a whopping $12 million dollar men's fragrance deal with Christian Dior. Gleefully, the press noted that Pattinson's deal had even topped Brad Pitt's reported paltry $7 million for his Chanel No. 5 ads.
But there is no fragrance contract. Not yet, at least.
The Dior international press office in Paris explained to The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday morning that the so-called "reports" were just rumors and that no contract has been signed. They had no further comments.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the same thing. Kristen might have influenced him to do it or they talked about it. When you've been in a relationship for too long you tend to have the same interests, goals, etc.
ReplyDeleteIf he'd chosen to put his name to some tacky celebrity scent then i would have had major reservations, but he is going to be the face of Dior, such a classic, respected brand! He's moving on from the perceived 'teen idol' image, so I personally think this is a well thought out choice on his part!

ReplyDeleteI don't care much for the 'business' aspect of Hollywood... but that's exactly what, in truth, it IS - a business. I would like for R & K to remain the unconventional types & be committed to movie-making for the sake of the art, itself, but they are both HOT right now, & they & their teams are VERY aware of this. They each have the opportunity to become a real Hollywood 'power-player' in the future... I just hope that, if successful, they use their influence to do the stuff they've each talked about that is consistent with the original, very 'ANTI-BIZ vision' they both seem to share. Maybe this is just a roundabout way that can be used to put them in that 'position' eventually. It would truly be sad & disappointing to watch either of them get caught up in 'big money' & forget what they set out to do in the first place. They are both VERY young; we'll have to just watch, wait, & see.
I just hope he never changes, he is such a sweet, funny, smart,kind guy who isn't at all Hollywood and isn't full of himself. never ever change we love you because your you.
