Greetings to our global Twihard family,
On the flight now from Madrid to Berlin, I wanted to check in one last time, as you're finally getting a look at what we've all been working on so intensely. It's hard to believe that after our Berlin premiere tonight, my TWILIGHT journey will finally come to a close. It's been almost three years since I first wrote to you. I'm very proud of what we've created together since then, and I hope that PART II fulfills your expectations for the grand finale to Stephenie's sprawling saga. Fingers crossed that you've also managed to stay at least mostly spoiler-free, in order to enjoy the twists and parting gifts we have in store for you...
Thank you again for making me feel like a member of your fandom family online...for sleeping in The Line in San Diego in order to laugh with us in Hall H...for traveling great distances to join us in L.A. for last year's Tent City and this year's Fan Camp. Above all, thank you for trusting me with this universe you care so deeply about - we tried to match your intensity in our attention to every detail. That said, I don't think I'll ever live down the shame of being spied on by Twihard covens around the world on our very first night of shooting in Rio. Thanks to photos shot and instantly posted online of Bella and Edward on their honeymoon, we were called out in real time for missing a certain engagement ring... (Sorry -- again!)
As with you all, what I'll take with me from my time in Forks are so many great friendships - our massive cast of talented actors, and new creative partners such as Melissa Rosenberg, Guillermo Navarro and Phil Tippett. I hope to know them all for years and to work with them again soon, making movies yet to be dreamed up. At the L.A. premiere Monday night, Phil said we should make a "bloody, giant monster movie." But is there room for a musical number?

ReplyDeleteWatched it for the fourth time today - the theatre was packed!! This was the perfect ending to the saga. Bill Condon did a freaking fantastic job. I loved sitting in the theatre - you could tell the difference between those seeing it for the first time and those that had seen it before and knew about the twist in the end - people still oohed, aahed, clapped, cheered and gasped - not many movies get that kind of response especially after over a week of being released.
ReplyDeleteI just want to add in regards to recent rumours that Kristen may be doing SWATH 2 and they need a new director - Bill Condon has my vote!!
Thank you Bill Condon for the adrenaline rush you gave us while watching Breaking Dawn part 2. I nearly had a coronary even my husband who hasn't read the book asked why Carlisle and Jasper were killed? Then I realized so this must be the twist......and somebody behind us even groaned f--k....what the hell happened.....hahahahaha you punked us......

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your committment and attention to detail. My favorite Twilight movies are Twilight, because it brought Edward and Bella to us and Breaking Dawn 2 because you gave us closure and happiness for the "forever love" between Edward and Bella.
Thank you Bill, it was truly amazing, it put so much hard work into making twilight so special for all of us. we will miss it so much. But feel I feel happy that I can watch it over and over and over and over.

Bill, thank you thank you thank you. Loved every second of what you did. Loved going to the movies multiple times to watch Breaking Dawn and loved the collective gasps at the appropriate times, then loved the applause from the audience when people realize that it's just a vision. I loved the movie very much and in particular the end was so beautiful. So f'ing fantastic. This is the first movie that I like better than book and I'm glad a few lines were changed that made the story even better. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteOk... i just HAVE to say it... how sweet is him?!!, i mean, he even wrote that first letter to the fans and showed us he truly cared about doing a great job (not saying the other directors didn't but it was a nice touch), and i laughed SO hard when he mentioned - yet again - the ring thing, like one of you alredy said in another post he really will never forget about it!!, i can totally see him years from now mention it again. And last but not the least: a big and huge 'THANK YOU BILL... YOU ROCK!!' for making this a truly epic finale, and thank you for this letter as well, i can't wait to see your future work, i've been a fan of your movies for a while before BD and i think i'm ever more now after seeing all the work you put into making a movie that would make fans proud

ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed of Bills great work. It's such a masterpiece. It has everything! Loved Edward and Bellas honeymoon so Amazing can watch it over and over again. The Wedding scene-get so emotional so i can cry only by thinking of it. The evening before the evening when Bella are standing in her room and Edward appears beside her and she smiles... A feeling i cant describe it's.... like falling in love. When Edward lean his head on Bellas babybump, when Bella wakes up and have became a vampire, the battle!!! The last scene.. Now tears are falling here. He took music and feelings from the other films, brought together in perfect harmony and added it in thoose last Two films.And besides all this Bill managed to add laught to all this. Amazed that a director can have all this talents, couldnt even belive this was possible!!! Would be so thankful if someone could explain to me what Bill meant with the "ring thing"
