'Welcome to the Rileys' Review by 'Chicago Reader'

Photobucket

From Chicagoreader

A conservative Indianapolis businessman (James Gandolfini) heads to New Orleans for a convention and, still grieving over the death of his only daughter eight years earlier, takes a cynical 16-year-old prostitute (Kristen Stewart) under his wing.

Meanwhile, his carefully coiffed but badly agoraphobic wife (Melissa Leo) summons the courage to leave their suburban home, get behind the wheel of a car, and come after him. The hero's psychological transference is so blatant that even the characters begin commenting on it after a while, yet this modest three-hander is capably acted and genuinely touching.

Jake Scott (son of Ridley, nephew of Tony) directed

a script by Ken Hixon (City by the Sea, Inventing the Abbotts). by J.R. Jones

Jennifer Aniston Wants to Date Robert Pattinson?

Photobucket

ROBERT Pattinson has become the latest man to catch Jennifer Aniston’s eye!

Sources say the former Friends actress has developed something of a crush on the hunky British Twilight star.

“Jennifer is deadly serious about lining up a date with Rob, who she thinks is gorgeous and dreamy beyond belief,” an Aniston insider told a tabloid.

“He’s the perfect physical specimen and, on top of that, he’s humble and intelligent, which is Jen’s top two turns on in a guy above anything else.

“Jen’s a huge fan of the Twilight series and she’s watched all the movies more times than she or any of her friends can remember.

“Rob’s very much her dream guy and although he’s with Kristen Stewart, the fact is he’s not got a ring on his finger — so why shouldn’t she show interest in him?

“Jen’s a huge believer in following her instincts and she gets butterflies just thinking about Rob.”

I love you, Jen...but go near Robsten..and you're dead.
That is all.

PS: It's just speculation, nothing to get worked up about, guys.

'Bel Ami' Will Be Out in August of 2011 (Brazil)

Photobucket

Robert Pattinson fans, write down the month on your calendars: August 2011. That is the date that Bel Ami, the film which the actor opposite Uma Thurman, will debut in England.

According to Wise Entertainment the film still has not set an age rating, but probably will not be free because it has several steamy scenes. There are other scenes that's been promised the fans, are very excited about the honeymoon of Edward and Bella in Breaking Dawn. The scenes were filmed here in Brazil, Paraty, and the characters were in an atmosphere of pure romance.

An image of each celebrity in her Elie Saab dress will be displayed alongside the actual gown worn at each red carpet event.

'Water for Elephants' to Mark Major Post-Break-Out Role for Rob

Photobucket

Yes, this is the film “Inglourious Basterds” break out star and Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz chose to do over David Cronenberg‘s psychosexual drama about the story of friends-turned-rivals Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, “A Dangerous Method.” We didn’t understand it then, we still don’t understand it now.

Nevertheless, here is the first look (found on an advertisement for a tie-in novel cover) at stars Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Waltz complete in the extravagant costuming in Francis Lawrence‘s adaptation of Sara Gruen‘s popular historical romance novel “Water For Elephants."

The depression-era period story follows veterinary school drop-out, Jacob Jankowski (Pattinson), who joins a travelling circus known as the Benzini Brothers’ Most Spectacular Show On Earth run by a sadistic boss (Waltz) and falls for the star performer Marlena (Witherspoon).

The film will mark major post-break-out roles for Pattinson and Waltz, who are respectively following iconic roles in the ‘Twilight’ franchise and the aforementioned Quentin Tarantino film. It’ll also be Lawrence’s first feature since 2007’s Will Smith-led box office monster that was “I Am Legend”—though he reportedly had a hand in “fixing” Jimmy Hayward‘s “Jonah Hex” starring Josh Brolin—and the film has a script by Richard LaGravenese (”Conviction”). Here’s the full synopsis of Gruen’s novel courtesy of Amazon.

With its spotlight on elephants, Gruen’s romantic page-turner hinges on the human-animal bonds that drove her debut and its sequel (Riding Lessons and Flying Changes)—but without the mass appeal that horses hold. The novel, told in flashback by nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski, recounts the wild and wonderful period he spent with the Benzini Brothers’ Most Spectacular Show on Earth, a traveling circus he joined during the Great Depression. When 23-year-old Jankowski learns that his parents have been killed in a car crash, leaving him penniless, he drops out of Cornell veterinary school and parlays his expertise with animals into a job with the circus, where he cares for a menagerie of exotic creatures[...]

He also falls in love with Marlena, one of the show’s star performers — a romance complicated by Marlena’s husband, the unbalanced, sadistic circus boss who beats both his wife and the animals Jankowski cares for. Despite her often clichéd prose and the predictability of the story’s ending, Gruen skillfully humanizes the midgets, drunks, rubes and freaks who populate her book.“Water For Elephants” also co-stars Hal Holbrook, Paul Schneider and James Frain and is set to hit theaters on April 15th.

The thing that they're talking about in the article, that's not the tie-in cover. We made a mistake about that ourselves yesterday. Turns out, it was only a cover on a catalog. We're still waiting for the official WFE Book Tie-in edition.

Lee MacDougall Talks About Rob

Photobucket
On How to Be: My friend Robert Pattinson told me about a movie he was making called “How To Be” and that he was to play a guy who was a bit of a super loser.

He said the guy wanted to be a singer, but couldn’t really sing, and his girl friend dumps him, and he is just generally a bit lost with his life and doesn’t really know where he’s going.

I thought it sounded really funny, and a good idea for a song, and being both actors and musicians struggling to achieve a higher degree of success at the time, I think we could both identify a little with the character.

I said that I was going to try and write the theme tune for the movie based on what he had told me and I went home and wrote it in a couple of days. I went back to his house and played it to every one and every body really liked it, so I gave Rob a CD to give to the people doing the movie. Unbe known to us though, I think the soundtrack had already been selected and I was too late, so it never made the cut.

I didn’t mind too much because soon after I started to play the song live and it got such a great reaction from the crowd that I just decided to keep it for myself. I always have to tell the story behind it when I play it because peo ple still assume it’s about me! The amusing thing is, looking back at it though and how I felt at the time, I think it probably is semi-autobiographical.

Listen to ‘How To Be’ here

On collaborating musically with Rob:
Yes we have — but only if you count jamming on the piano in his living room! We’ve never done an actual gig together, although he did used to come and watch my shows in London. Rob is a really natural musician, he’s amazing on the piano — although he always claims he doesn’t really know what he’s doing, but I think he’s just very modest.

We have quite different styles, but that can often produce the best results. Of course if the chance ever presented itself to collaborate I think it would be great, and a lot of fun. Would you guys like to see Rob and I collaborate?

You can find Lee Mac Dougall on myspace and twitter. Read the full exclu sive interview on RobPattzNews
