  23. For heavens sake you guys, please stop putting down the Oscars. It's a film industry tradition and very exciting for those that have been nominated. Look, I'm just as excited as the rest of you to know that Kristen will be walking the red carpet looking gorgeous and stunning. It's been a while since we've seen her on stage to present and we're ecstatic about that but to say the Oscars are boring is just mean and shows a bit of envy in your comments. I for one love seeing all the beautiful gowns and the lovely ladies and handsome men. The Oscars have come a long way and they've done a great job cutting out the boring stuff because they are well aware that they lose a captive audience when you don't get down to the meat of things. It's great that they invited Kristen to present and we should all appreciate the fact that they recognize that she can still draw the crowds. So please show some respect to the people who work so hard at trying to provide us a fun evening of entertainment and to see who will get those coveted awards. The Oscars rock and you know it!

    2. I don't think we are being mean when we express our personal opiniom about the Oscar Awards show. I know that the intent is to honor and recognize the best in the movie industry but we all know that this process has become so overly political that I have really lost interest in watching the show and devote 2 hrs of my time on something that I no longer enjoy unless I can get to see someone that I really admire and only watch that part of it. Most of the winners are not netter than the other mominees but they have s political machine that influences the voting members and gives them name recognition and acceptance as a serious contendet. It's like csmpaigning for publicly elected office, and this is wrong and is fraudulent. It is robbing the true owner of the Oscar statue.

    3. I admit that I don't care all the actress or actor who attend the awards this year and I really escape to do not watch but now I only watch the part when kristen is to present on stage and that's the reason only reason I gonna watch oscar just because kristen is in it.I'm sure I'm not the only one feels this way.

    4. You got to admit, oscar award gets worst and worst every year, not only the hosting part of it,but the integrity part .Now a days whoever campaigned the most gets the recognition, not unless the contender so obviously unbeatable and so deserving
that 's the only time they win.If u don't have u'r fav star like Kristen u wouldn't want to waste u'r time watching their BS for 3 hrs.

    5. kikay, if campaigning is the key, kristen should be definitely nominated by now with her excessive OTR promotion. But I get what your saying with the integrity part though, Oscar is getting predictable nowadays. And whats with the Best Actress award curse lately? Swank, Theron, Kidman, Berry, Portman (?) failed to deliver box office sucess?!

I hardly watch this show as I am 15 hrs ahead of time, it'll be Monday Morning.. which means I gotta get to work:p

      Delete
    6. I don't think her movie OTR is an oscar movie material, although i find her acting there very good,it's not like the AMOUR movie of Ms Riva which doesn't need campaigning as movie speaks for itself. But whatever she's doing last year ,i think she's just trying to help promote a movie which if it wasn't for her nobody would pay as much attention to it.That's what i like about Kristen ,she's got the same amount of passion for her indie movie as to her BO movie like TWILIGHT and SWATH.I've seen her being interviewed at TIFF on the red carpet for hours trying to explain what the movie is all about, the same way she explain the Twilight movie on the red carpet in LA premiere ,it doesn't mean she's campaigning for it too.Time will come that she will make an oscar material movie someday, she's still young, give her time, she's got a very big potential in my opinion, the right project will land on her lap someday.

    7. @ ANON 8.42 : AGREE....SOME KRISTEN FANS ALWAYS COMMENT WHY K DON'T GET OSCAR,,BLAA,BLA,,AND FYI OSCAR IS NOT ABOUT BO. IF ABOUT BO I THINK ALL CAST TWILIGHT MOVIE BEING NOMINATED. AND FOR CRITICISM OSCAR BEING POLITICAL OR WORST. CAN I ASK YOU QUESTION. ARE YOU specialist AT MOVIE? SO WHY K(AND HER FANS) REALLY WANT TO GETS OSCAR. IF I REMEMBER COMMENT IN THIS BLOG WHEN OTR BEING NOMINATED OSCAR MANY OF YOU EXCITING ABOUT IT SAID VERY PROUD AND MAKE OTHER CPMPLIMENT,,BLA,,BLA. AND NOW WHEN THET KNOW OTR NOT FOR OSCAR THEY SAID BAD THING ABOUT OSCAR SAID IT'S OK COZ WE EXPRESS OUR PERSONAL OPINION. AND IF SOME PEOPLE EXPRESS THEIR NOT NICE OPINION ABOUT K,,KRISBIAN ATTACK THEM,CALLING THEM HATING,,OR REMOVE WITH MODS.. I KNOW MOST IN THIS IS BLOG IS VERY FANATIC KRISBIAN FANS BUT CAN WE PLEASE BEING FAIRLY FANS? BEING RATIONAL FANS. SAID GOOD IF KRISTEN GOOD AND SAID IF IT'S NO GOOD. HL NOT JUST ABOUT K,..NO WONDER PEOPLE (NOT K FANS) MAKE SOME COMMENT ABOUT KRISBIAN..

      PS :
FOR MODS PLEASE NO OFFEND I JUST WANT TO EXPRESS MY OPINION (LIKE ANON SAID @ 1.02) . B4 THAT I RESPECT YOUR ALL HARDWORK FOR THIS BLOG AND FOR MAKE THIS BLOG BEUTIFUL(POSITIF PLACE FANS SAY) BUT IF YOU/FANS DON'T ACCEPT NICE COMMENT OT JUDGMENT ABOUT K WHY YOU ACCEPT JUDGMENT ABOUT OTHER. PEOPLE COMMENT LIKE THAT IS JUDGMENT COZ WE DON'T HAVE FACT. I DON'T BELIEVE PEOPLE SAY BAD THING WITHOUT FACT ABOUT K. I KNOW THIS IS ROBSTEN BLOG BUT IT JUST HYPOCRITICAL,,SORRY..WE CAN BEING NICE,FUN,WISE ROBSTEN FANS WITHOUT THOUGHT KRISTEN IS ALWAYS RIGHT...
      SORRY MY ENGLIS IS BAD..

    8. I beg to differ.
Here is list one, to name a few (Donald Sutherland, Glenn Close, Kirk Douglas, Albert Finney, Tom Cruise, Greta Garbo, Gary Oldman, Joaquin Phoenix, Edward Norton, Leonardo Dicaprio, Richard Gere, Diane Lane, Julianne Moore, Kevin Bacon, Gena Rowland, Harrison Ford, John Cusack)
Here is list two, to name a few (Adrian Brody, Monique, Roberto Benigni, Gena Davis, Jennifer Hudson, Cher, Jamie Fox)
List two are your great actors Oscar winners according to the Acadamy. List two, not good enough, aka losers. You tell me. I rest my case. There is no machine upstairs monitoring great performances and setting the great apart from the mediocre. There is lot of campaigning mixed with personal prejudice, politicking and all the stuff true art should not be about. I read this on the Daily today. I am glad others are taking notice of this foolishness. And no, the Oscars don't rock. Not anymore, at least. There are a million things I'd rather do then watch the Oscars. This year, I'll watch the red carpet for Kristen, and then I'll wait for the sites to post her appearance. Here is the post from "The Daily" about the Oscars:
As we approach the beginning of December and find ourselves in the full swing of awards season, we’re going to start seeing more and more actors and actresses making the rounds on late-night TV to promote their movies — and to bolster their Oscar chances. That doesn’t sit well with some distinguished performers. Just this month, Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins slammed Oscar campaigning, joining the twice-nominated Joaquin Phoenix, who recently described the process as “utter bullshit.”

    9. Annon 2:33. You are screaming. Learn to speak and writing English before you start to scream. It makes it even more offensive. I gather you don't understand what is being written on this blog......obviously. You wrote two paragraphs in all caps. What got you so mad? Take a breather and stop using Google translation. It is the stupidest thing ever. This is a blog for people who are Rob and Kristen fans. When you care about someone like that you don't want to hear crap about them. Not even a tiny bit. Get it? Not one. This is our happy place. It makes you mad? Then go away. Thanks

    11. its the OTR producer who was pushing to get nominations. Just so happened that KS is the bigger star of them all and she was willing to help in any way she can. Yes it is not Oscar worthy but the people behind it thought otherwise that why they released it late last year, in time for Oscar-movie-timeline whatever they called it. Didnt get to nominations they hope for but its not KS fault. I truly believe she will get notice one day.

  25. I know some of you like the show and some don't.
I most likely never watch award shows anymore. I haven't watched any of the MTV, GG, PCA, Nick's KCA, TCA, or any other award show in years. I live in a dorm so I don't have access to watch them and I find it more satisfying to just watch the videos on YouTube that they post literally hours after the show. It saves me time and still gives them that same reward of seeing them on screen.[my computer screen lol]

  27. I think the Oscars are overrated ,biased and manipulated.I havent watched the oscars in years.I am a big fan of Kristens so if i do manage to watch the awards ,it would be only to catch a glimse of the lil lady Kristen.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yes-I was not going to watch the Oscars until Kristen got involved. The Oscars have become to political-this year I believe all awards will go to any movie anti-violent. Not to take away from the other movies nominated just saying I have a feeling voting academy are going to take into to account the recent violent events we had this year.
