Reese Witherspoon Says Robert Pattinson is "The Hardest working person I've ever worked with"

In addition to her successes as an actress and her respectable reputation, Reese Witherspoon is the envy of millions of Twilighters after working alongside superstar heartthrob Robert Pattinson in not one, but two films — not to mention the fact that she's kissed him too.

When MTV News caught up with Witherspoon recently as part of "MTV First: This Means War," we asked her the first thing that comes to mind when she thinks of her "Water for Elephants" and "Vanity Fair" co-star.

"I would say [he is] the hardest-working person I've ever worked with, honestly," she said. "[He's] professional, hard-working, so appreciative, more grateful than I've ever seen anyone for where he is in life."

Given the fact that Witherspoon has been in the business for decades and experienced every facet of being famous, we asked her to weigh in on the current fan frenzy that surrounds Pattinson wherever he goes and how it may or may not affect a person.

"I've never experienced what he has — going to premieres and there's just millions of people waiting for him to touch them," she said. "I think it must be strange, but I don't even know how to process what he deals with and Kristen [Stewart] deals with. I don't know."

The Oscar-winning actress said Pattinson handles his fame very well, despite the sometimes-chaotic circumstances. "[He's]a really cool guy," she said.

Kellan Lutz is proud of Rob's working out routine

Starts at 0:36

In the "Breaking Dawn" trailer we see Edward Cullen take his new bride Bella on their honeymoon retreat, and it’s there that we get a short glimpse of his bulging back when he BREAKS THE HEADBOARD in a fit of passion.

After seeing the scene, however, some wondered if Rob actually used a body double. Well, we caught up with his "Twilight" co-star Kellan Lutz, who blessedly assured us that it was all Rob.

"Someone asked if that was me. Is that Kellan’s back?" the 26-year-old actor said, laughing at the idea. "I’m really proud of Rob for working out and really training really hard. He cycled so hard and trained very hard, and he’s really diligent. He talked to me about what proteins to drink and what to do and he listened and cared. He had a great mentality for it."

Catherine Hardwicke: "RPattz & KStew's 'Twilight' audition tapes too Steamy for Release".

Catherine Hardwicke says she would love to work with Rob and Kristen again

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has been hard at work promoting her new flick, Red Riding Hood, with Amanda Seyfried. But that doesn't mean she's forgotten past stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

"I'd love to [work with them again], if the right project comes up at the right time, that would be awesome," Cath dished at the RRH premiere Monday.

"I think they're wonderful; they're super close to my heart."

Know why?

Because she takes credit for getting them together, duh! Although she proceeded with caution at the time.

"I was exactly right there when they first met, so I saw it all from the beginning," Hardwicke told us years ago about Robsten's romance. "I saw that they both had that wonderful fascination with each other, and that's why I cast Rob."

Would you all like to see a Catherine, Rob, and Kristen reunion on screen? We would!

Just last summer there were rumors that Pattinson and Stewart were going to star in Summit's adaptation of Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus.

While Kristen told us that was not true, she did say she would want to work with Rob in a non-sparkly vampire project.

"Yeah, we talk about it all the time," beamed K.Stew.

Obviously we want this to happen! But what should the family reunion be, exactly?

Video: Paul Giamatti says Rob will get 'stalked' in Cosmopolis

Earlier this week, Paul Giamatti was at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival to support his film, "Win Win," a title that also aptly describes another flick the recent Golden Globe-winner has on his horizon: "Cosmopolis."
Why is "Win Win" so fitting a description of Giamatti's participation in "Cosmopolis"? Well, he gets work with director David Cronenberg and Robert Pattinson, of course!

After Giamatti, who stood with his "Win Win" costar Bobby Cannavale, admitted he was "not sure" when production on "Cosmopolis" would come together, there was one thing that was certain: he'd get to work with the "dreamiest man alive."
"I get to stalk him," a deadpan Giamatti said of getting to work on a set with R-Pattz. While Giamatti (who also divulged to MTV about his part in the highly anticipated "Hangover 2") said he hasn't yet met Pattinson he claimed (though quite possibly tracing the slightest hint of sarcasm there) to have seen the "Twilight" films.
As Pattinson explained to MTV News recently, he signed onto the project "basically because of Cronenberg." "I said yes as soon as he called," he added. "It's scary, though. It's an interesting script."
"Cosmopolis," based on the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo, is about a billionaire asset manager (Pattinson) who has a very bizarre day in Manhattan. Marion Cotillard was originally set to play Pattinson's wife in the film, but has since dropped out of the project. Kiera Knightley is now being rumored to take over the part.

Robert Pattinson Trailer Mash-Up: The Ultimate Smolder Collection

If the headline of this video hasn't already enticed you to watch, then the mock MPAA rating/preview banner our brilliant digital producers here at MTV News have created should. "Rated S for Smoldering," "contains longing gazes, perfect hair." Not to mention the opening bars of Usher's oh so romantic "OMG" playing in the background...

Robert Pattinson fans, this one's for you. Feast your eyes upon one of our finest video compilations yet, the "Smoldering Robert Pattinson Trailer Mash-Up."

In this surefire favorite, MTV News has compiled video clips of the RPattz at his finest (via trailers for "Twilight," "Little Ashes," "Water For Elephants" and "Remember Me"): lingering gazes across the parking lot in "Twilight," the casual-yet-perfect "doorway lean" in "Water for Elephants," sweet nothings whispered during one of 100 emotional chats between Edward and Bella...

In how many ways does Robert Pattinson smolder? Let us count... RPattz smolders the subway, looking out a dirty window, in a tux, in a vest, he even smolders in that "New Moon" scene when he walks out into the sun and you can see his crazy white chest (that's not in this video, but I had to get something in there that rhymed, Dr. Suess style). Pattz smolders in that "dazzling" meadow scene in "Twilight," whilst climbing trees, throwing branches, dancing at the prom, meeting elephants, covered in whipped cream? Perhaps there's a pie-eating contest-turned-food-fight in "Elephants."

The video continues with his expertise in grasping his lucky leading ladies ever so slightly (and sexily?) around the neck, and pulling them in close to him... Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Stewart, Emilie de Ravin, all poised for a perfect kiss. And then, out of nowhere, there's Pattinson punch! Quick clips of his fight/action scenes, and then, thankfully, the video concludes with a compendium of more Pattinson-patented smolder.

MTV: Amy Adams Talks About 'On The Road' & Her Co-Star Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart maintains that her nerves never went away while shooting "On the Road," an adaptation of the Jack Kerouac novel that readers have been obsessed with — and highly protective of — since its 1957 publication.Nervous she may have been, but co-star Amy Adams — a two-time Oscar nominee — came away from the project seriously impressed by her fellow actor.

"She's awesome," Adams said of KStew. "I knew she had chops. I've seen her since 'Panic Room.' I thought she was fantastic. I feel like she's grown up onscreen. She was great in 'Into the Wild.' The girl's got some chops."

Like Stewart, who dubbed the small-scale production "wild," Adams reveled in the highly creative experience that director Walter Salles ("The Motorcycle Diaries") created on set. "We had a lot of time with each other and a lot of play, a lot of freedom," she explained.

Adams plays Jane, the drug-addicted wife of Old Bull Lee (Viggo Mortensen), a character said to be based on author William S. Burroughs. "On the Road" was her first project after giving birth to her daughter in May, and she thrust herself into the role.

"The character I played required me to be in such a haze," she explained. "My experience is very tactile — very damp and very hot. I was so in that character."

Adams credits Salles with allowing her to dive so deeply into the character and for letting the cast "play" so openly both in front of the camera and when shooting would wrap each day. Since most of her scenes are with Mortensen, it was during production downtime that she got to know Stewart.

"She's just really sweet," Adams said.

MTV: Kristen Stewart Says 'Breaking Dawn' Script Is 'Really Good'

It's the beginning of the end for the "Twilight Saga." Okay, we may be getting a bit ahead of ourselves seeing as there's more than a year until "Breaking Dawn: Part 1" hits theaters, but with production set to begin in November, it's hard not to get a bit wistful. When we caught up with leading lady Kristen Stewart while promoting her upcoming movie "Welcome to the Rileys," she shared the sentiment.

It's odd because [going back to set] feels the same, yet it's different because we all know that it is over," Kristen said. "It's so not over yet, either. We have the hugest job that we've had almost like all along."

Other than the fact feathers are definitely included in " Part 1," Kristen didn't give too many plot details away—even though she, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner have done a complete script read-through of the first installment.

"To be honest, [the script is] never very striking, only because I know it," Kristen said. "You read it until you get to the last page just hoping that it doesn't let you down, going, 'Okay yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I got too, mm hmm, that's what I got.' It's really good. It's like, I don't know, it's very solid."
With the read-through behind her, Kristen is relieved, knowing what to expect over the next few months. "Basically we know exactly how the book is going to find itself now. We know all the lines, we know every scene that's been pulled," she said. "It's always scary when you don't know what parts they're going to think are important, because sometimes you have a different idea."
