If you look at recent films for example, you see a string of big-screen heroine tales – Kristen Stewart as Snow White, for example.
Which I loved! I loved it. To be so bold and so emotional, I just thought she was terrific. They were both great; Charlize Theron was fantastic. I really loved it, and I did not expect to like it. I didn’t think I was going to care, but it really got me.

Nikki Reed Talks About Kristen's Performance in 'OTR' and 'SWATH'
E! Online: Nikki Reed isn't the least bit surprised that her Twilight costar Kristen Stewart went topless in On the Road.
It's not because she thinks her fellow Twilight starlet is some sort of closet exhibitionist, but...
"She's such a great actress and knows what she's doing," Reed, 24, told me at the MTV Movie Awards. "She's really excited about it. So if she's excited about it, I'm excited about it. I think it's awesome."
And Ms. Reed has similar high praise for K.Stew's latest box-office hit, Snow White and the Huntsman. She remembers Stewart, 22, talking about snagging the coveted role while they were filming the second Breaking Dawn movie.
Reed took her mom to see the film on opening day. "It's great," she gushed. "It was awesome. All the performances were super. It's really fun."

Sam Spruell Talks About Kristen: "She is a very cool cat"
Asked by Digital Spy what Theron and Stewart were like to work with, Spruell replied: "Charlize is an absolute powerhouse. Kristen is a quieter soul, but both are great to work with.
"I don't think I'd be able to do [a franchise] at her age. It must be quite a burden - amazing, but it might stop you from being young. At 21 we were just kicking around, being stupid, but she has to be responsible for quite a lot. It must weigh down her a lot."
He continued: "She is a very cool cat, though. She's very chilled... I think she feels grateful for those films because they catapulted her career into the stratosphere. I think any actor would be grateful for that. I think there is a burden that comes with being that famous, of course. I'm sure she feels vulnerable at times, but overall, she's incredibly grateful."
Spruell added that he wouldn't be surprised to see Snow White and the Huntsman fuel a trend of grittier fairytale movies.
"A lot of fairytales do have a dark subtext," he said. "They are dealing with the darker side of human nature and human existence.
"I think really, I think it will evolve. I think someone next year will do something completely different, but certainly Snow White... is a darker retelling of the story. It explores many things and I think it'll be emotionally engaging on lots of different levels."

Charlize Talks Kristen & SWATH with Dazed Digital
By
Alma

DD: What intrigued you about Rupert Sander’s take on the story?
Charlize Theron: I thought he was incredibly visual so I was very excited to tell this emotional story that will connect with people in this very visual world. I liked that he was interested in shaking it up and turning it on its head.
DD: Did you have any words of advice for your co-star, Kristen Stewart?
Charlize Theron: From the first moment we met each other, we just really got along great. I don’t really want to go through my life with relationships that don’t just feel authentic. We’re just really good friends and as friends we inspire each other purely by living our lives the way we do. I look at her and the way she lives her life and I can see she’s doing it because she loves it. She’s not pretending to be this thing to please other people – probably for her it’s harder with all this success. So to watch her do that is really inspiring to me.
DD: How was it working with Colleen Atwood on the costumes?
Charlize Theron: We call her the Oscar Queen. She’s incredible. Costumes especially in a story like this are really informative and she likes to work from a place of character. So with her it’s this constant discovery of who is this person you’re playing. On top of that she has an incredible eye and her craftsmanship is amazing. She just loves dressing characters.

Chris Hemsworth Talks About Kristen with Inquirer Entertainment
*Spoiler Alert*
In the movie, Chris gets to plant a kiss on Kristen Stewart, who is Snow White to his Huntsman. “She’s fantastic,” he said of the “Twilight” actress. “She had a really strong opinion of where she wanted to take the character and who the character was. She was very enthusiastic. She set the tone and led the charge. It was great. We had a lot of fun.”
He said the big success of the “Twilight” movies had not affected Kristen at all. “Kristen was introduced on such a big scale and in a franchise setting,” he commented. “Often, that overshadows everything else. She worked incredibly hard to show that acting is what she loves. With this film, she’s able to showcase that. The first thing I noticed was how headstrong and focused she was about what she wanted to achieve. There was no wavering in her commitment.”

Sam Claflin Talks About Kristen in His New Interview
“Working beside her [Kristen Stewart] on- and off-et, she really is very focused on sort of changing her life after Twilight. The Twilight [films] are coming to an end now and she wants to set out a career that will take her to new places.”
And speaking of stellar acting chops, Sam couldn’t help but gush over Kristen’s portrayal of Snow White and insisted she’s an incredibly dedicated actress:
“She’s really really challenged herself physically, mentally, vocally—every sort of side of it. And she’s very hard working,” Sam revealed with clear admiration. “All I can say is she’s pulled it off marvelously. I hope everyone agrees.”
But that’s not all Sam had to spill, not only did he reveal that this role is a completely different departure for Kris, but there’s another challenging aspect K.Stew had to master:
“She’s [her character] completely different, she’s English for a start,” Sam explained.

Chris Hemsworth mentions Kristen in an interview with UK Glamour Mag
EN Movies - Chis Hemsworth says Kristen Stewart kept teasing him about being a sex symbol on the set of their new movie.
The Australian hunk has set hearts racing with his good looks and has appeared on the list of Glamour magazine’s sexiest men. Chris feels uncomfortable with attention on his appearance and has revealed that Kristen couldn’t stop mocking him while they were shooting Snow White and the Huntsmen.
“Far from encouraging, Kristen reminded me that I was like, 47th on the list. Her and the little people playing the dwarves were all laughing about it,” he told the May issue of UK magazine Glamour.

Lily Collins Talks About Mirror Mirror and SWATH and Mentions Kristen
Have you talked to Kristen Stewart about her Snow White, and is there any competition between you two?
It's funny, we've actually laughed about the fact that we're apparently rivals -- because we're so not.
So you're friends?
Yeah. She's so cool, and I'm very excited for the other film. It could not be more different. They're polar opposites. I think the advertising campaigns prove to everyone how different they are: everything from the tone to the rating to the costumes; everything. She and I, we're very, very different characters and we just have laughed about it. I'm happy for her, she's happy for me. I think there's definitely room for both.

Lily Collins Talks About Rivalry Between Mirror Mirror and SWATH and Mentions Kristen
Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart might be both playing the same fairytale character, but Lily says rumors of a rivalry between her project, “Mirror Mirror,” and “Snow White & The Huntsman” are simply laughable.
“It’s funny, I mean, they are so different, they couldn’t be more different,” Lily told Billy Bush at the “Mirror Mirror” junket in Los Angeles on Monday, when asked about Kristen’s upcoming fairytale movie (opening on June 1).
“Kristen and I have laughed about the fact that we’re apparently ‘rivals.’ And it’s just funny to us,” she continued. “I’m excited for her and that version is so utterly different than ours. I think that people are going to get different things out of each one.”
The 22-year-old actress said the story about the fairest in the land is worth two versions.
“There’s always two sides to a story, so it’s interesting to see two different versions,” she explained. “[Mine] is more of like a comedic adventure, [and hers is] more edgy and dark.”

Sam Claflin Talks About Kristen in SWATH: "She looks pretty damned awesome"
We posted part of this interview earlier where Sam talks about his musical conenction with Rob and Kristen through Marcis Foster HERE
Teen.com: What’s Kristen’s costume like? Very princessy?
Sam: She tends to sort of not be in any princess-like costumes, which is good for her and kind of gives her that badass sort of fighting spirit, I suppose, but she looks pretty damned awesome. Thumbs up.
Teen.com: Have you gotten any injuries on set?
Sam: No. I think I sort of tripped over a stair, which is my own fault. I can’t blame injury on that. But the other day I think Take 1 of riding a horse on to a certain scene, I fell off. I think the thought of me trying to get up again was quite difficult, so I was just laying there kind of going, “Oh-h-h.” But I remember Kristen just trying to winch me back up on to my feet, and I thought, “I’m not moving. I can’t move. I’m just going to stay here. I’m happier.”

Chris Hemsworth Talks About Working with Kristen and SWATH Love Triangle
Kidzworld: You got punched.
Chris: Well you can see that it’s swelling going up my nose.
Kidzworld: Did Kristen do that?
Chris: We misjudged one and I head-butted her fist with my nose which didn’t turn out too well for me.
Kidzworld: Owww! Can you talk about working with Kristen?
Chris: She’s great. We both loved the script from the beginning. We both read it and had a huge amount of excitement coming into it and both love working with [director] Rupert [Sanders] and she leaves no stone unturned in her prep with the script. She’s always asking questions and trying to find out what’s the real truth in the scene but she’s great. It keeps you on your toes and the scenes are all the better for it.
Kidzworld: Can you tell us about the rumored love triangle in the movie? [Chris and Sam Claflin who plays the prince and Kristen].
Chris: It’s not so much a love triangle. We haven’t really finished shooting it yet so we don’t know what it’s gonna turn into. It’s kind of what the individual characters feel for each other. I think they are kind of unaware of whether anyone else is involved in that mix. It’s not quite as public or an open as a love triangle is. It’s not that obvious. I think it’s more of a [subtext]. They all come from a different part of the universe we’re creating and can find themselves getting along in moments and not in other moments. I think it makes an interesting mix.

DJ at #SWATH wrap party says Kristen was dancing with hands in the air :)
That night I was called upon to DJ for the wrap party for the film Snow White And The Huntsman – with its Warhol Factory theme, it was right up my street and an absolutely storming do.
After my first set I bumped into an old friend, Rupert Sanders who directed the film that twists the old Brothers Grimm fairy tale. It stars Kristen ‘Twilight’ Stewart in the title role with Charlize Theron as Queen Ravena.
He then introduced me to Stewart, who, dressed like a young indie kid, I’d completely failed to recognize in the low lights of the club!
But I reckon I redeemed myself: l was the last on the decks and, after mixing Mock and Tuff into Todd Terje’s re-edit of the classic Horse With No Name by America, I saw Kirsten dancing with her hands in the air. Job done says I.

Elizabeth Reaser On Snow White And The Huntsman: “Kristen Looks Amazing, Charlize Is A Crazy Bad-Ass”
Get More: Music Videos, Free Music Videos
Elizabeth Reaser is amazing as Beth in Young Adult. Understated, honest, confident and cool; she’s the perfect complement to Charlize Theron‘s brash, relentless Mavis. (Have you guys seen it? Go go go!) We caught up with the actress and Twilight alum at the LA premiere of the Jason Reitman-directed film (which as been nominated for three Critics’ Choice Awards) and chatted with her about her character and New Year’s resolutions. And then of course we had to ask her this: having worked with both Charlize and Kristen Stewart, which actress does she think will kick more ass in Snow White and the Huntsman?
Look, we’re stumped on this question ourselves. Obviously we have a little bit of a KStew fangirl thing going on (okay, it’s more like ‘a lot bit’) and she looks amazingly tough and fearless as Snow White. Girlfriend leads an army on horseback, for crying out loud! But Charlize radiates badassness both in the SWATH trailer and in real life, and her kickassery skills are second to none. Is it possible that they will kick equal amounts of ass? Could it be? Knowing these two amazing ladies, we don’t doubt it. Check out Liz’s very awesome answer above. (Unrelated: how gorgeous is her hair? Can we have hair like that, please?)
Thanks to thefablife
Nick Frost mentions Kristen, Chris and what its like on the #SWATH set
Frost is having a ball filming his scenes as one of the dwarfs in the big-budget fantasy adventure film Snow White and the Huntsman - a dark new take on the classic tale that Frost says is closer to Saving Private Ryan than the Disney version.
"It's probably one of the best things I've ever done," he says. "All the dwarfs, and Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth literally sit around laughing all day. It's one of those jobs where you think, 'Why are they paying me?' "

#SWATH trailer is #3 on MTV's 20 Best Trailers Of 2011
By
mesweetgirl

3. "Snow White and the Huntsman"
Our expectations were not high. So let us apologize to Kristen Stewart and all who are involved with this adaptation: Well done, folks! Sweeping in scale and containing some truly creative visual effects (huge crows splintering into hundreds of smaller crows, an anthropomorphic golden mirror), the trailer already would have been a 2011 highlight on its own merits. But when the silly trailer for "Mirror, Mirror," a competing Snow White flick, dropped days later, we had to revise our expectations for "Huntsman": This is how you adapt a centuries-old fairy tale for the 21st-century multiplex.
