Wow that's a nice way to say he doesn't like it. That was strangely honest, usually when people get asked questions like that they lie to be polite. Not really a fan of this guy and it has nothing to do with his comment.

Please notice that he never said if he thought Rob was a good musician. Hard to tell from the two comments if he was being rude or not...would need to read the entire interview. He was honest as far as I can tell and not being rude.

I don't think we was being rude. He was being honest. He said it is not his kind of music. Also he said Rob likes what he does and he seems sincere. Thats a compliment for any artist, because the pride is in how sincere one is about ones art. For example. I don't care for Jazz, but I respect the people who deliver that form of music......its from the right place. I am not offending Jazz musicians, while I appreciate and acknowleges their art, its not my kind of music. I love Rob's genre of music. Its so from the heart. Not everyone will like everything he does, and that is ok. Lets save our energy for the real haters. This dude is not one of them. Peace.

Don't think he was being rude at all. I think RP has a really good voice but that angsty song writing style isn't for me either if I am honest as I prefer music to dance too. It just sounds like Jim Sturgess doesn't know RP yet and found the interview question a little odd.

I actually don't think that it was rude at all, just honest. Which is refreshing in HW. I like Rob, can't stand his music. Different people have different tastes in music and that is totally ok. You don't have to love everything about Rob to be his fan. Jim Sturgess might get along with Rob just fine, they will just never record music together or go to a concert. People need to chill out a little bit...

This Jim sturgess is a Dick and he himself is mediocre. He knows nothing about Robs music and im sorry he is jealous who wouldn't be. Comments like that are only made out of jealousy.

He wasn't rude. His second comment was in fact complimentary. It's refreshing that he is honest just as Kristen and Rob are. Kristen will appreciate that when she works with him.

He was the lead actor in the movie across the universe. He had to sing all the beatles songs he has a great voice.

i dont like the music of both tbh. electronica is not my genre and rob tend to eat his words most of the time im having a hard time understanding it. but i dont have a problem with sturgess and pattinson either

Okay. Being a music teacher I'm just going to say that the guy didn't answer the question. He was asked if he thought Rob was a good musician. Being a good musician isn't just about writing music. Rob is very talented as a musician. He sings and he plays several instruments. So as far as his musicianship, yes he is very good. If the question was just about his music writing, that is a different question. Not all musicians write music. I think the answer he gave wasn't rude. The question was too broad. I think the guy answered as honestly as he could. You can't lump playing an instrument and writing music into the same question. The answer made it sound like he thought Rob was okay, but not great. I, personally, disagree. If you have ever tried to write any music, it is not easy. It is a gift. I think Rob, at least til now, just writes for his own enjoyment for the most part. The guy probably doesn't care for Rob's type of music. That doesn't make Rob a bad musician. Just remember this. Irving Berlin could not read music but he wrote some of our best loved songs: White Christmas,
God Bless America, Easter Parade, etc. It's a very subjective opinion. Personally, I think Rob is a fantastic musician. I was fascinated watching him play Bella's theme in Twilight and he had two songs in that movie. To each his own. The answer is okay for what was asked.

As long as Rob and Kristen are hot commodities, which will probably be a very long time, all reporters are going to come up with ways to fit them into the conversation with everyone they can, for the hits and sales. It's not just photos, their names alone are worth $$$$$. Thing is, in the context of real interviews and not the made up stuff from the gossip mongers, it's a good thing, if they say something positive, for whoever is being interviewed because it gets their name or project instantly in front of millions of eyes who otherwise might not ever see them. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not part of the marketing strategy for some stars, not necessarily this one, but I'd imagine there are some who might bring up their names simply because they know any mention equals a massive amount of worldwide free publicity.

He was actually asked about Rob being a musician, not his music. Who is this guy anyway??? Most talented musicians and actors have said that Rob is a proficient, beautiful and talented musician. So I would go with those who recognize talent.

At first it sounded rude to me but then as i looked at it again it seemed to be a fair answer he was just saying his opinion for instead im really in to the sort of music the likes of Adele or even Rob does, but i really am not in to hard core rock and roll musics> doesnt mean im being rude to all the artist who do rock, is just a personal opinion
